According to Wikipedia, the animal you described is a rare red wolf. They are an endangered species with only about 300 left in existence. Intermediate size between a coyote and a gray wolf.

Just imagine if a LandLerd "pRoPeRtY iNvEsToR" gets ahold of it... "Space for rent - $5,800 a month, with first, last, and negative-first month's rent along with a security deposit of $30,000 due upon signing of lease. Utilities such as electricity, gas, heating oil, internet, water, sewer, trash, landscaping, gutter cleaning, and driveway sealing to be paid by the tenant. Proof required that all four 250 gallon oil tanks are fully filled before October of the first year. Tanks will be empty upon move-in, but required to be over 7/8ths full upon move-out. Landlord may graciously opt to renew the lease every year with a nominal increase in rent of 65%. If a new lease is not signed, the tenancy will continue on a month-to-month basis, with rent increasing by $200 per month up to a maximum of $3,000. On-time payment of rent will NOT result in positive credit reporting, however Landlord reserves the right to check prospective tenant's credit rating."

Really excellent advice. You're a really good trainer: all points covered, without waffle! And you make fire striking sound idiot-proof.! As a first class idiot, I'm looking forward to this:) So far, I've set fire to more kitchens than I've started one with a fire steel! (No, really!) Here I am watching this (from my Covid bed of sickness) at the start of summer so I won't get to try this in anger until autumn when the stove in the sitting room of our 16th century cottage makes all the difference. I searched for this tuition after looking at medieval fire steels on an antiques seller's website. I'd wanted to buy an original but clearly, that wouldn't work (rusty) or be too fragile - I now know thanks to you :)

for cambium, it's better to cut into the tree a small rectangle, 1-2" in width and 3-6" in length. The tree can easily heal over this wound as if it were a pruning wound, and the same tree can be collected from multiple times using this method if the areas cut are spread out from one another.

A 4 inch half round fine file works every time, but remember to remove the TANG so you don't stab yourself with it.

You can see a big difference in how a log cabin is built in the USA and in Sweden. In the USA, the logs are completely round and create gaps between the logs, in Sweden you plan the top and bottom so that the logs lie directly close to each other, it's a smarter way than what you do in the film.

i dont understand why people dont put in a shallow well with a hand pump in the 'kitchen' in the home... It's how the old timers used to do it until modern plumbing and electric wells.

What a beautiful sight. A perfect union of human endeavor with ambitious spirit along with a father and son working practically as a single unit. The cabin ain’t too shabby either!!

To your last point, the string is meant to keep them together. I recommend ditching the short cord it comes with and just replace it with a longer string. Great video and tips!

I love the look of copper. I know that over the years a patina will form. I wish I knew how to prevent copper from forming the patina. There has to be a way to keep the copper colour.

I can't believe it has been four years since the pop-up cabin was built. The wood took on a good silver patina. A testament to you and your father.

I bought some pure maple syrup and my mother came over for a visit. We shared a love for good food. I served her some syrup , and she knew something didn't taste right. She told me it tasted like creosote. She was right. She added that whoever made it didn't know what they were doing . Take care and enjoy the simple things we sometime take for granted.
