    So you're telling me that the Citi Strata Premier is the ONLY Citi card with travel/retail and insurance protections? As the Chase counterpart of the CCC and CDC which would be the CFF and CFU would have travel/retail and insurance protections for the no annual fee?

    Clear profits off of adding confusion and classism to mandatory government processes at no benefit to the system. If everyone had Clear, no one would benefit from the line-hopping service they're selling. Furthermore they sell your biometrics to the highest bidder. Their cancelation policies are the least sketchy part of this company. Please consider Global Entry or TSA precheck instead.

    Citi is criminally underrated. Mops the floor with the Chase trifecta in every category (except referral bonuses for creators). Far and away the best trifecta for most people (if they want more than 1 card). Plus, there’s the multiple-Custom-Cash downgrade route for more advanced users, and the Rewards+ card for 10% redemption bonus.

    Chase is a big no for me. After nearly 15 years of banking with them, they suddenly decided to close my account. I've learned that Chase is notorious for closing accounts without notice and often doesn't provide any reason, reserving the right to withhold that information. Do yourself a favor and don’t do it!!!!

Please tell it’s a lie 🤣

    It could affect your score temporarily due to a hard inquiry. Beyond that, there's no effect with many of the larger banks because the small business cards do not get reported to your personal credit report.

Also if thats no possible can I pay rent to my spouse and have her pay me back (or is that not advisable for tax purposes) thanks

    Mortgage payments are not accepted by Bilt at this time. If you two are not in a standard rent payment situation, then I personally wouldn't attempt it. Trying to game the system isn't worth it.

I don't know if this is something new or if I just got a bad rep that didn't know what he was doing, so not sure. Thoughts?

    I spent a lot on my Platinum and was continuously getting retention offers until June 2023 when they said no and that I used enough benefits to offset the cost, so no retention offers to make up the difference. Had I known that, I never would have used Sacks $100 or Wal*Mart $120. In truth, the Hilton AMEX was always going to be something I moved to (and did).

    Have to respect the abilities to earn x3 to X5 for gas and groceries. I've been getting back to back freedom sign up promotions with chase. Player #2 will be helping for years 3 &4. Then I will have to redue it in 2 years if they still have them. It would be easier if chase watches this post and adds them as a full time catogory.

    I love the Citi Trifecta on paper, but its really hard to argue against transferring points to UA, SW, and Hyatt from Chase for my situation. These are my most commonly used companies due to cost effectiveness and whats common in my region. I wish Citi’s transfer partners were just a bit stronger overall to be most competitive for me.

    Why have I not seen any of the credit card people I watch closely talk about the Freedom Unlimited giving 5% back on gas? I don't understand, I realize this is an older video but not one has mentioned it. Maybe I got lucky and applied at the right time....

  • @MarkReese
    @MarkReese5 күн бұрын

    Because it's not a permanent category. It may be offered for a limited time as part of the welcome offer in Year 1, and it may be a 5% category for a quarter of the year. Once those expire, the card only earns 1% on Gas going forward.
