Realistically speaking, what is a good CPP to redeem points for if all you care about is basic economy/main cabin flights? I really don't have any aspirations for First Class travel because it's only a few hours out of several days of a vacation. And I know that business class is where the ridiculous CPP valuations come into play. That's great and all, but again, business class flights don't interest me, and often cost double the amount of points or more.

To me, anywhere from 1¢ - 2¢ is great for that. However, I also don't let the value per point be the only reason I choose to make a redemption or not. Sometimes I'm just happy with not paying cash.

@MarkReese Same. I hear a lot of people talk about "wasted Chase points" whenever you book anything other than the absolute optimal Hyatt hotels or Business Class flights. I personally have little reason to ever go to a Hyatt Hotel and I like taking cheaper flights.

Hey Mark. great videos as always. Now, I already have a US Bank Cash + Visa for every day stuff. I'm looking for a Visa that I can use to pay for my Independent work as a Production Sound Mixer expenses, gas, van maintenance, some equipment purchases among other business stuff but I'm interested in a card that gets me points towards travel and lounge benefits instead of cashback cause I'm putting all my personal expenses in the US Bank Card. Have been recommended the Chase Sapphire Reserve but I feel that that card is more towards buying travel stuff like plane tickets and hotels and that's how you get the points. @@elandrue - In that case, the majority of your expenses would fall under 'non-category' spend on nearly all cards. For that reason, I'd go for something that earns 2X / 2% on all purchases like the Amex Blue Business Plus.

Not that I'm aware of at this time. You could get the card online, get your referral link, and send it to someone else. If they get approved, the current referral offer would give you another 10,000 points. However, I'm not sure if referral links are showing the 75K offer right now.

I didn’t realize that if I got the bonus on the preferred I am stuck for 48 Months even if I downgrade to get the bonus on the reserve 🤦🏻‍♂️

I like your channel but dude, come on! That example from LAS to SIN is just stupid. $4,782? GET REAL!!! That RT ticket coach is worth maybe $1300 on United and $1950 on SA!!! I just did google travel and those are the numbers!!! NOT $4782!!! What a gyp! Dude, you have to compare what you're pay IN CASH and do the math that way to get your multiplier for miles value. IOW $1300/128500 x 100 = *1.01*!!! So YOU MIGHT JUST AS WELL cash your points out 1:1 and NOT use that stupid "travel portal" BS! ... come on, man - don't expect your subs to be this dumb please!

1. It wasn't "LAS" to SIN. It was "LAX." 2. It was for business class, not coach. 3. I would never fly LAX to SIN in coach, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone either.
