You can't get attached to characters in this series, the Blithe part might not be accurate in this instance but it's still useful in the sense it reminds you that it's war and this is what happened, people made friends and brothers only to lose them as quickly as they found them. I've watched the whole series about 8 times and it still has the same emotional impact as the first watch. It's really an all time great show.

When I was young Apprentice in 1978 I worked with an ex Royal Marine who came through the war without a scratch and in the Dying days they were House clearing in a Town and his best mate, who he had gone through everything with since Basic training was clearing a House and as his mate went up the stairs, they blew up, booby trapped with a Grenade. The Guy Died, after all they had gone through. He said I will never forget it. I can't even imagine it. This Brave man will also be long gone now 🙏

How disgusting that you're using that example of the 11-year-old as an example of self defense. A child shot wildly at a man who was running away. If he'd killed that man, it would have been so hard for him to have to live with that reality. Or if one of the shots had hit an innocent bystander. I think that, as Americans, you don't realise how horrifying a story like that sounds to people who live in countries with sane gun rules.

This is a complete Internet myth. According to a Pew Research Poll, 76% of Americans have visited at least one other country, about 50% have been to between one to four countries, and about 25% have been to five or more countries.

There is no reason for a civilian to own a full-auto rifle. If you hunt deer with full auto .223 there is something wrong with your hunting style. That kind of gun was designer for a singular reason only: to kill other people. That is why they need to be banned from civilian use.

At the time of the 1988 Flake ad, it was said that women liked the Gecko on the telephone but they wouldn't explain why......will the secret be revealed?? I think it was also this ad that caused a furore because she put her tongue on the flake and did not bite into it without tongue instead which was more expected and not offensive to Daily Mail readers! 🤣

Calling our Fred “pretty handy” is a bit like calling Spider-Man quite athletic, Fred was fearless and overwhelmed by nothing. He was a national treasure who unfortunately didn’t get his flowers while he was alive. ❤ Great content buddy, thank you for keeping Fred relevant.

My old man was a Dutch sea captain.Whe he was drunk he used to sing British navy songs. He used to sit in pubs in London at the docks where the Crays were ruling the roost. They liked the old mam over 6 feet and at least 16 stone. He knew everything about the UK.Heavy smoker and alcohol until his final years died at 78.

It's gone far too soft these days. Won't be long till these young guns are sharing cars and half n half scarfs like the embarrassment that is Liverpool v Man Utd etc. It needs to get back to the old days for me. Why do we all have to get along? If we were all the same, things would be boring ... Imo Rangers men have nothing in common with Celtic men And Celtic men have nothing in common with Rangers men. - Example: Start a new job. At lunchtime on your 1st day as a youngster (in my younger days) you lunch with the group of starters. Day 2 you have already sussed it out and the "OTHER" is shunned and away with their own kind... No more words spoken in 12 years in company. Put 99 Rangers men and 1 Celtic man in a crowd and it's now even a challenge to pick them out. And I'm sure that is believed the other way around. Not here to argue or debate. Just saying "I hate this new age pally wally football culture" . Surely both Rangers and Celtic fans who travel home & away week in, week out would agree with me, even if they have green specs on. Bring back the good old days ✊🏼🇬🇧

War is pointless but when the world is filled with greedy, money hungry bastards, we will always have wars where young guys get needlessly killed for no really good reason. It is a pity we just can't all get along on this small rock of a planet. i think all of the greedy war mongers in the world should be made to listen to this song over and over with videos of war playing on screens in front of them.

Good old British humour, like any TV show you need to get to know the characters then you under stand the humour but unfortunately people have no sense of humour now and would get offended at anything just for the sake of it, The best thing the actors in this series was famous in their own right,

G’day mate. I’ve been binge watching your Two Ronnie’s and Ricky Gervais reactions constantly over the past week and when you nearly fell off your chair with Ricky and Karl’s teaching English lesson I’ve never laughed so hard in my life. We have the same taste in comedy! So I looked for two things that to me are in my top 5 funniest of all time bits and lo and behold you haven’t done them. PLEASE PLEASE do yourself a favour and check these two bits out. I absolutely promise you won’t be disappointed!!! 1) Randy Buys a Bookshelf off Gumtree (Gumtree is like Craig’s list) 2) Karl Pilkington has his prostrate examination Love your reactions keep it up!
