Whitney, deservedly, is getting a lot of raves here, but also bravo to Sting and Elton John for their courage, humour, and Sting’s last note. Talent all over that stage!

It's her tone. Something in there that's just holy. Strip away all the skill, technique, acrobatics, and soul, her tone alone could save souls.

Her talent was beyond simply the voice, it was also her lyrical genius. Her interpretation of song was absolutely incredible. But with a voice as versatile as hers, really anything she sang would sound amazing!

It was a Lot of pressure being this role model...and in the 80s - the world had its challenges then, though she & Clive were set to break down racial barriers & achieve success as best as they can... and it worked... you cannot fake something like that... and Whitney really was like that, a sweet, charming, articulate, yet shy & a beautiful women..... I'll always remember you this way, Whitney ....
