He is so talented as a musician & he & Whitney were the total best together. God bless you Kirk Whalum for being the "bishop" in Whitney's band. I love that saxaphone. It did match Whitney's voice for sure. NBL

He didn't talk crap about her in the end. He stated a fact...we grieve for her but at the same time we're happy cause she's home. Meaning he believes she is in heaven with the Father. I take the same comfort in that thought as Kirk Whalum.

Per Whitney cantava la sua Anima ! Avvicinarsi a lei e viverla era un dono prezioso . Hanno provato a uccidere la sua Anima meravigliosa luminosa preziosa ; ma sua Anima è eterna 💓💓💓😘🙏

Kind of ironic to me that an instrument loved by so many gets so little recognition as do the players. Even when you recognize that sax accompaniment in a song you rarely know the player. Unless it was maybe Clearance Clemons from Bruce Springsteen's E-Street Band. As his playing was so essential to their sound. You'd need to be at least an sax playing jazz fan to know guys like Whalum and the other sax greats. Had there also possibly not been a film made about the player e.g. Charlie Parker. We only know the guitar players and singers.

It’s amazing with all of these videos when he’s asked questions about Whitney, instead of taking the high road, he threw shade! I lost respect for this guy too!

@@ayyyce I know I am with you. What shade? Unless, he is referring to him saying the musicians were her family, outside of her real family, who genuinely loved her. I picked up on that, but that wasn't shade; that was the truth. Her real family, blood relatives, were sycophants who just watched her spiral into the pits of addiction. Mr. Whalum had a front row seat of how her family just took and took from her. I agree though, she is home now with the angels. RIP, Whitney. Love you forever.

@@ayyyce Ok, lot of her followers, throw shade on her, after kissing for years. People are fickle. seems that, out of all people sacrifice for them. They feel it necessary to point out the worst so often after there gone. Two faced mess. She sacrificed her own life for the public, and there the one's who let her down, at times. I love Whitney, her voice and love for her craft is unmatched, by any. Forget the end the DASH was a smash. I love Kirk Whalum's music along with her.
