Hola. 😀 Sí, tienes razón. Hay un número limitado de frutas que puedo encontrar en Medellín, pero parece que cada región del país tiene frutas diferentes, así que tendré que viajar por toda Colombia para encontrarlas jaja

Were mosquitos or bugs an issue? I’m not sure if I should wear long pants to be on the safe side. Also is this hike manageable without a guide?
Hi! Thanks for watching the video. Mosquitos and bugs in general can be a problem all over Colombia because it's a tropical country but just take some bug spray and you'll be fine 😀 It is really important that you go with a guide as this hike can be potentially dangerous... you could easily get lost, and in some areas you have to climb up and down rocks and small cliff faces using ropes... it's very risky. In the video description, I added a link to a tour company that can take you. You could use other guides if you prefer, but just make sure they have experience on this particular hike. Honestly, it was one of the most fun treks I've done in ages, even though it was very strenuous at times! But I loved it. Hope you enjoy it!

I always have SO MUCH FUN finding unique and interesting Airbnbs and places to stay that are just different from the ordinary in some way... and this was definitely something unique! This cool little cabin in the mountains in Santa Elena (near Medellin, Colombia) has some very unique neighbors... including cows, rabbits, and a turkey! Hola Ben, me encanto tu primer video y me alegra saber que al igual que yo sos también fanático del lulo, hay muchas otras frutas que podrías incluir en tu video 3, la Guama es una de esas opciones extrañas que te encuentras mucho en las carreteras del valle del cauca y que no ves en ningun otro lugar te la recomiendo, tambien el pomorroso, el noni, la feijoa, la chirimolla o el torombolo (starfruit). Viendo tu video caí en la cuenta de que muchas de las frutas en Colombia fueron en algun punto traídas por los colonizadores europeos desde las islas del sudeste asiatico principalmente las Filipinas que era otra colonia Española durante la época, de ahí que tengamos aquí pitaya y mangostinos, que por nuestra diversidad de climas y terrenos encontraron un lugar donde prosperar en nuestro país.

Alot of those fruits are not unique to columbia, they are spead out over asia, south america, central america, mexico , the carribean and Africa I.E. warm climates

GUACAMOLE, though delicious, IS NOT COLOMBIAN. We use ají. Guacamole and salsa may be offered in Colombia now bc of Mexicans that have moved here AND due to tourists’ expectations bc they’re used to Mexican cuisine.
He never stated that the guacamole originated from Colombia he was just saying that it is a common topping. Btw I’m also Colombian😅

I was there a couple of weeks ago and I also made a 3 minute video of my visit to the Arvi park in Medellin. I was too focused on capturing a great footage of the city that I didn't realized there was a little fire in the background. LoL

I don't remember all the stories about Cerro Tusa but the tour guide told us a few of the legend stories from the indigenous people of that region which were fascinating... I wish I could remember the details of the stories... but I highly recommend doing the Cerro Tusa tour, it was amazing even though I suffered a lot because I was unfit hahaha.
