Welcome to Abroad With Ben travel and lifestyle videos! Today I'll be taking you to Pueblito Paisa, Medellin, Colombia. In this video, I wanted to find out why Pueblito Paisa appears in many lists of top Medellin attractions... and if it is worth going, or is it just another typical tourist trap?
Pueblito Paisa (or "Little Paisa Town" in English) is a charming and picturesque scaled-down replica of traditional towns found in the Antioquia (state) region of Colombia. With its cobblestoned miniature town square and brightly colored colonial-style buildings, souvenir stores, restaurant zone (where you can try the famous local dish called the Bandeja Paisa), and much more, Pueblito Paisa has quite a lot to offer. And one of the highlights... the views! The 360-degree views over Medellin City below are reason enough to visit! So, if you have half a day spare on your itinerary, why not come check out Pueblito Paisa?
To get there, take the Medellin Metro train to 'Exposiciones' station, and from there, it's a short walk or taxi ride to the top. Taxis and Ubers are very cheap in Colombia, so it might be easier just to take a taxi from where you're staying directly to Pueblito Paisa... all taxi drivers will know it!
