Did you know Medellin has the biggest annual flower festival IN THE WORLD? It's called the Feria de las Flores (Medellin Flower Festival) and it is truly impressive! This is the biggest event of the year in Medellin and is not to be missed!
This year I visited one of the best flower displays in the whole city at the Santa Fé shopping center in the El Poblado neighborhood, where each year they put on a jaw-dropping display of locally grown flowers which resemble an artist's tapestry... you've got to see it to believe it!
Next year, I'll be visiting more of the main events of the Medellin Flower Fair including the classic cars parade and the 'Silleteros' parade - in which hundreds of participants carry beautiful flower displays on their backs through the main streets of Medellin - a very unique and special local event.
