We recently visited the town of Guarne, just a 1-hour drive to north east of Medellin, Colombia, to visit La Casa de los Colibries (Hummingbird House), and in my opinion, this really was a 10 out of 10 experience that you shouldn't miss! What an unforgettable experience feeding many beautiful hummingbirds from the palms of our hands! Definitely one of the best day trips I've had in ages!

As this website is currently only available in Spanish, I've translated some important details for you below directly from the website. (I can not be responsible for any errors, or changes to these scheduled times).
The easiest way to get there from Medellin would be by car or motorbike and by using Google Maps. However, if you go by bus, you will need to go to the Terminal del Norte (Northern Bus Terminal) by taxi or Uber, and then once inside, buy a ticket at the counters for a bus that will take you to the town of Guarne.
From Guarne, you have two options to get to the Hummingbird House:
1. Camperos (Camper Trucks). The website of Casa de los Colibries recommends the following drivers (it's suggested that you negotiate the prices with them before the ride begins).

Colectivos (buses) from Guarne to Hummingbird House
You can use the buses from the company Coopeguarne.
The daily bus schedule departing Guarne:
Departs 1️⃣ - 7:30 am
Departs 2️⃣ - 10:45 am
Departs 3️⃣ - 3:00 pm
Departs 4️⃣ - 5:30 pm
Important: On Saturdays and Sundays, these routes finish at 1:00p.m.
Of course, you can also take a taxi or Uber from Medellin directly to Casa de los Colibries, but this will be the most expensive option, especially if the driver has to wait for you for 2 hours while you do the tour.
