Likely burundanga powder, also known as the zombie drug 20:05 2 guys taking pictures/recording of you. Not sure what they were up to but maybe it's unique to see white tourist who act so oblivious? 21:04 and 22:25 you were being followed by a man in a pink shirt who was for sure going to mug you if the boys on the bikes hadn't helped you out My first time watching your videos, but seriously, safety first.

Not true. The guy’s videos are fun, but this fan boying is out of control. News flash: if anyone there wanted to stab or shoot him and rob him, that’s exactly what would happen. He’s not Jason Bourne like certain YT comments want to make him out to be. We are all mortal, and if someone is crazy or evil enough to walk up near you and simply shoot you, then even the toughest guy is going to be dead. This is not Marvel. So far, he has been fortunate or blessed to stay safe. That is probably chalked up to these places not being nearly as dangerous as they once were or their reputation suggests, and him going out there during daylight. And also for all we know he has had stuff robbed from him and it’s just not posted on KZread, either to maintain the brand image, or simply because the camera with the footage was taken.

Y’all are all wrong. Street vendors give “free” stuff to tourists all the time because they know the tourist will insist on giving back more money than its actually worth because they don’t know the real price. Say it’s 25 cents this guy will give 50 cents or a dollar and she made more money.

This is how all of youtube should be, no crazy editing or annoying music, just a genuine vlog experience. I honestly felt like I was there with you. You know how to handle the bad guys which is a good skill, especially if you are on your own.

The Young lady that asked if she could help him at the pastry stand and the two young men on bikes , were absolute angels you could tell they have good souls . It’s refreshing to know that there’s still really good people out there in this world especially nowadays. Traveling is more about having a healthy self esteem and knowing your limits. Kurt seems assertive,friendly and shows a cool energy. That's why things goes well wherever he visits. You can go to places but in areas that you know there's trouble or heard of trouble, you just go and leave not stay in. He did well. If you don't look for drama there's not going to be drama 95 percent of the time.

I travelled in Colombia in 2013, including a few days in Medellin. I must say the Colombian people really are so nice and friendly. It made me feel at ease straight away. I understand there are certain areas where you would not dare to go alone and being a foreigner. But in the majority the people are brilliant

I love El Centro in Medellin. Yes, it can be a little sketchy but its not terrible. Great experience and the best empanadas ever.

So my daughter (18) and I went to Medellin 3 years ago. We stayed a couple of nights in Centro in a room at a sweet older woman's apartment found through AirBnb. She was an awesome host! She took us on a tour of Centro, including this street, lol! But really, no big deal. Afterwards we wandered around by ourselves for a couple hours. She said just to be home by dark and keep an eye on our phones - "Don't Give Papaya". I have a video from that day of an elderly man that approached my daughter and talked to her about how carrying her phone tucked into the front of her pants was "Giving Papaya" even though it was in the front. Then he gave her some tips on remedies for the massive amount of mosquito bites on her legs. Too cute. BTW Giving Papaya is basically being stupid/naive and essentially asking to get ripped off.

Really love the videos of Colombia; great to see people like yourself bringing a new light to this Country. I've lived here in Medellin for two years with my wife and so far never had any negative experiences. Its not without issues, but definitely doesn't deserve all the negative attention and travel warnings etc ..hope you return one day and make more videos! :)

I want to say that it doesn't follow the cliche of opening your eyes to the wider world, how comfortable and lucky i live now. Because while all of that is definitely holding water, I am conditioned in a certain way, raised in non-povery that I'm used to this and am too anxiety driven (like a lot of american tiktok girls/boys below me on this ladder who have incredible genetics somehow). It's like hundreds of years ago, in the Roman empire, there was still this split between rich and poor but the rich of that time are as healthy as the poor of this time. It keeps moving up. I, I as being raised here will achieve different things than you. Not necessarily better, just different, so do all people who grow up with different perspectives. I do want to break that cycle although this forementioned anxiety holds me back

Some spots of the footage was in like the ""bronx" of Medellín so is not the "real" Medellin, even most of the locals try to avoid that places or just pass away quickly.

I accidentally found Kurt's videos from Dale Philip n man am I so pleased. His personality is just as kind n great content. I love how u guys are never rude or trying to just scheme a cheap deal. u have no problem paying a decent price n being kind as well as being super open to locals and trying new things. Keep up the amazing travels n work I love it, especially with me being a terminal cancer patient now I have a hard time sleeping due to my pain and this really helps relax me at night time ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏

@@karlagordon4555 omg girl exactly n especially for cancer patients cuz there is absolutely no medication for us that strictly takes our pain away basically the Dr's jus try diff stuff till something works for the most part n to top it off my insurance only covers so much a month SMH My aunt was appaled like how can they provide as much methadone n stuff as possible to drug users but dying cancer patients are limited....Makes so sense at all. Oh girl right!? Me too lol I be watching all kinds of diff stuff but I think it's good for our minds to, open our mind to diff ways if cultures, food n countries. Thank u so much for ur kind responses, I will be thinking if u to mama ❤🙏🥰
