Gone too deep in Cali, Colombia! 🇨🇴

Cali or "Caliente" is not just hot in terms of temperature but in all ways imagineable.
I managed to get into the deepest part of Siloé, Colombia's most dangerous hood where even the police won't go.
Que Chimba Colombia!!! 🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴

Kurt knows what he is doing. His confidence and faith in himself is what is keeping him safe. He goes into these areas carrying a certain kind of aura and attitude and that's why nobody bothers him. The term "it's about how you carry yourself" is extremely important. Kurt, great message at the end. That is the truth, I’ve been to a few places and not all places are as bad as the news makes it out to be. Exactly, as you said “Don’t be stupid!”… People are kind, nice and do want to help if they can. If you go with an attitude of superiority and are out there doing things you shouldn’t be doing, then yes, places and people become dangerous. Great video, it’s been almost 2 months since i was in Colombia and I want to go back, already… I ❤️ Colombia 🇨🇴 ✌️

The situation with that saying is that you’re taking a great risk into shortening your life span by willfully putting yourself in dangerous situations just to prove a point. A simple example: Kurt meets a cute girl, she shows him around, takes him to her house, gains his confidence and when the timing is right, he finds himself surrounded by thugs without his camera. I would never wish that upon anyone but I’ve said this since his early videos. For all the people out there that want to defy reality, PLEASE do NOT put yourself in his situation. I’m not saying never visit a place like Cali BUT if you do so, make sure you go with someone you KNOW. I fear for him, I really do because to me it feels like toys around with luck and thinks he’s untouchable.

You'll soon notice that it's YOU that has brightened their day and made them smile, and that gives you so much confidence and so many feel goods it's infectious and you'll want to do it again over and over. 99.9% people watching you walking in a room confident are not judging you, they are envying your confidence.

Seeing the amount of times that even the locals warned him about the violence makes me think this is either the bravest or dumbest man I’ve ever encountered on youtube. They know their home turf pretty well and if a local told me something like that then I’d definitely avoid that area, Idgaffff if that makes me a coward 😂

I'd say it makes you smart, as you are aware of the risk. You gain very little disregarding locals, but you can lose a lot as well. Weigh your options. Kurt is rarely completely alone and travels in daylight. He's not stupid.

I think some people just accept danger for the experience and excitement of certain situations. You could, in a weird way, compare it to a free solo climber or deep caver for example.

I have been in Cali for 1 month with my local girlfriend and I have to say I have never been experiencing this very kind of hospitality anywhere else in the world. And not in a sarcastic way. The people of Cali are extremely kind and helpful with foreign people. Every time they noticed that I am from another country, they acted so kind. Of course Cali is a dangerous city but if you act like most of the local people, you don't expose yourself to the thieves and you follow the rules, this city is on of the best experience. The ambiance, the passion, the food and the beauty of the nature is something that you cannot find easy anywhere else. I left my hearth in Cali.

Kurt, some polite advice, there are some folk who live in such places who will no doubt dislike you walking through their area's with a camera and advertising you are "not afraid".........some of these people will see that as something to challenge and deal with - and some of these people do not fear potential consequences. Such places also have some genuine good people. You mean well, though be very careful with your decisions as to what you are doing/where you are going. I've grown up in such places though in a different part of the world. Take care
