Leslie’s story reminds me of Miriam Martinez. The cartel kidnapped and killed her daughter and the corrupt government wouldn’t do anything about it . She pursued the cartel for years and was very public about it, and it got her killed on mothers day. These women know they’d get killed for what they do and their sense of justice is too great for that.

Many of the real leaders (or rather non-public leaders) of these cartels are former special forces, or former mercs trained by Americans. That is how and why they are modeled after paramilitary organizations, because of almost all of these lineages trace back to paramilitary organizations backed by foreign nations, which eventually fractured into warlords soon after these nations stopped backing them. It's why 2010 is the year that attacks on civilians ramped up, you see more terrorist attacks, and why you start to see a whole bunch of instances of forced disappearances, rapes, hanging bodies, etc. For an organization to call themselves Zeta Killers should tell you how terrifying they are. It's no different no matter where you go. As long as you have corruption in a higher power, there's nothing you can really do. Once they're there it's extremely hard to get rid of them all. They bring in their people under them. The first to rebel are the first to made examples of whether it be by destroying your lifestyle (losing job, debt, homeless, false imprison) to killing you. The only way to get them out is through civil war, but even then you create worst problems. They do this even in USA but we got different names for those groups. We didn’t land there (we were kayaking and it was apparently too dangerous to land there - you never know what war lords or whatever are there, and there’s no wifi, so if something happens, you can’t tell anyone) but we saw it, and I got to wish a young girl who lived there and had run out to a large boulder to sit and watch our boats “Merry Christmas” in French. It’s a mind blowing experience and something that gives you a LOT of appreciation for what you have, and just human life as a whole. It really made me feel spoiled, and it’s incredibly humbling. It’s one of the reasons I have the beliefs I do (I won’t elaborate bc I don’t want to start anything). It’s sad that people here are so isolated from other cultures and countries, and even go out of their way to avoid experiencing them!

Well that makes them an influencer 😂. Stripping them of a name doesn't automatically mean they won't influence people because of a title. If i have millions of subscribers or whatever they're called on other platforms and tell them to do something and they do it because they value my opinion as theirs I influenced them to do it. That would make me an influencer whether you like it or not. My opinion and actions influenced others to do the same because i had a following of people around me who shared the same ideals i had.

My Mother is a very strict Italian from Boston..The very first words of advice as I child I can remember she told me was. Don't mess with people you don't know, and don't be a tattle tale. I feel that many people don't realize when you leave an offensive message or you disrespect anyone you don't realize that your I.P. address is public knowledge from your smart phone. Just be kind. Leave your opion but never insult someone, you don't know what they are capable of. No need to be rude if you are polite because no one can have a resentment towards you. Why would anyone go against a group that has so much power. I don't understand why you would take such a risk to your own wellbeing

It's sad to think about these young kids losing their lives over such ignorant things because a grown man can not handle their goofy insults. As far as the adults going after the cartels and exposing their crimes go, they knew that what they were doing was risking their lives and sadly it didn't make any difference in ridding Mexico of any cartels or their violence. They simply lost their lives for nothing. 😢

The two women I'm very sympathetic towards. They weren't just mindlessly challenging the cartels out of some stupid sense of bravado, they were simply reporting things. I'm not saying these young men deserved to get hurt or die just for being cocky, but they made some *incredibly* foolish choices just so they could look cool.

I always was taught to be polite with people because you never know who you're talking to. I didn't know I had some people related to a cartel living in my neighborhood here in Mexico, I didn't know until there was a raid after going on vacation out of town. The guys in that house always greeted passerbys and I always responded politely with a "good morning/afternoon" without knowing, glad I always did, you never know who you're talking to or how will they react if they feel disrespected. Yet you have people like the ones in the video doing the most ill advised stuff just for clicks.
