Nice work! Fortunately I don’t have to deal with many of these issues , up in Michigan, I focus on those bio stims with humic, sea kelp and molasses during those hot summer months.
@@dbproductreviews6319 That will help a bit. What's the weather up there now?
@@PoloFieldsLawnService For sure, Thanks for asking. The last few weeks, we’ve had a few hard rains, so no need for watering. A mix of decent days with some high humidity, but nothing out of the ordinary, so definitely manageable.
Does the mowing pattern matter or is it purely for aesthetic? Looks great regardless 👍
@@Gnerf As long as it looks good, that's all that matters 👍🏾
Thank you for your video. I lost my husband and my teenage boy became the man of the house and is taking pride in caring for his Daddy’s lawn. These tips are super helpful.
@@user-rt3qf7jd3x I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm glad your son is stepping up to the plate to help take care of things around the house.
I’ve been dealing with this stuff for a year now.. it’s almost a constant battle
@pillcosby3949 If it's an every year battle, I would suggest dethatching in the fall. Fungus can also live in thatch
Your lawn looks beautiful!! Thanks for the tips 😊
@@marieb6813 your welcome
Good morning!! Got my products. That is disease ex, already use bio advance. Will be putting down very soon. How often should I apply after 1st application?
@@frebreze4u When did you apply your bioadvanced?
In May.
This is my 3 yr experiencing this problem. I had no idea what was happening to my lawn so I took a couple of blades to my local nursery and asked them what was going on.they both identified it as fungus. Bio advanced said to use once month.
@frebreze4u OK, it's time for another application. On the back of the bag of disease x, it should have a preventative rate and a curative rate. If you don't have fungus, use the preventative rate. If you have a fungus, use the curative rate. Apply again in 28 days. That should push you towards the end of August
@frebreze4u You can, but I would either switch between bioadvanced and disease x or use them both to get 2 active ingredients down. What fungus did they say that you had?
Thanks for your video, much appreciated. Do you have any suggestions for amending the soil over a septic tank? That one section always dries out before anything else. Thanks
@Heisenberg55 Apply a wetting agent over it frequently. Otherwise, keeping that area watered is the only thing that you can do
do you trim the whole lawn or just the edges im confused
@@rexorollgangsta2518 I edge the sidewalk and driveway. I trim around the landscaping beds and trim the top of the edges along the sidewalk and driveway to give it that box effect.
Looks good!! Ty
@@TripleTechTips Thank you 👍🏾
pretty sure i have leaf spot and melting out, a lot of blades are just dead, fungicides are banned in england where i am from. looking into natural remedys beacuse ordering a bag like scotts disease ex from the USA cost me like £100 due to expensive shipping. I heard neem oil is suppose to help. But cant imagine anything organic doing the job very well.
@SuperChalkster Oh wowwwww, I'll look and see if I could help you find something
Looking good bro. I dig it. What Fescue blend did you use? I have a combination of Black Tail, Thor and Falcon.
@FDUNupe1 I would have to look up the specific seed names, but the brand is called Columbia Seed
@@PoloFieldsLawnService no doubt bro and oddly enough, one of my dudes hit me earlier today and asked me for a suggestion on where to get seeds from and I sent him to their site. I've bought from them in the past for my backyard.
@FDUNupe1 Our seed MAY be the same, but I get mine locally. I've never purchased Columbia Seed online, but I'm pretty sure it may be the same if not close to the seed varaties

Bermuda Grass is tricky to detect if you have fungus because the grass blade is already thin. I don't see any spots in the blade or mycelium in the morning. Water that area intensely for 3 weeks. I have to do more research
@touchdown74 If you don't see any spots on the grass blades or the brown area isn't in a funny shape, direct line, circle or the grass isn't matted down by root rot, it most likely isn't a fungus. But there are other things that could make brown spots this time of the year besides heat. It could be insect damage, or maybe a dog took a leak in your lawn and created a brown spot. That's something that you would have to look at closer.
How do you know if you have Dollar spots vs dormant areas. I water my lawn in 3 areas heavily and it feels like its not improving after 3 weeks.
@@touchdown74 I have you covered right here. Check this out kzread.info/dash/bejne/kXWppJqghJu2iLA.htmlsi=Oo728cIABO-OLW2d
@@PoloFieldsLawnService I doubled check and it looked like I don't have fungus. I can pass my hand on top of the brown grass and it just flakes off like it's dead... smh. I do see baby blades peaking up with no signs of fungus. I don't know if my windows are just reflecting the sun burning the grass in that area smh. I feel like germinating some seeds and spreading it in that area. I'm sure that will take about another 2-3 weeks. Got to love it when you care
@touchdown74 Now, if you have tall fescue, wait until September to plant grass seed. But make sure that grass is dead because it could just be dormant, which means it just needs the right temperatures, water, and fertilizer. As far as what's turning it brown, it could be anything. It could be up against a house that radiates heat. There could be some rock in that soil under neath the grass. It could be something there that is holding heat, or it's just getting a lot of direct sun with no water.
@@PoloFieldsLawnService it's actually in the middle of my lawn. No where near brick or concrete. Interesting you said rocks underneath could be causing the heat. Wasn't like that in the past 3 years. I don't have tall fescue. Thanks for replying so quickly.
Thanks for the lesson from your heart. Great information for a novice like myself
@fredl6337 No problem, Fred 👍🏾
Great job ! Can I give you a suggestion instead of going back down your second row lane try going down the middle of the two passes your stripe will be more defined give it a try thank me later !!

@@pnkpnthr80 Thank you for your support 🙏🏾 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Will these applications aide in those scenarios where you get a storm overnight( sometime between the hours of 7pm-2am) thanks in advance for your time.
@pnkpnthr80 Yes, the fungicide will protect your lawn when we get night rains. Just make sure that you don't fall out of the window of protection. For example, let's say at the full rate, Azoxystrobin will protect your lawn for 28 days, and you applied it on July 1st. It will wear off on July 28th, and you'll need to apply another app or a different fungicide(s) on that day. If you wait until July 31st or even later, you will be out of the window, and you'll be too late. I hope this makes sense 👍🏾
Polo thanks my brother!!! God bless!
@pnkpnthr80 Same to you, Martin 👍🏾
You are Nuts!
@diyek1781 I would be if I bought this to use it only on my home. But I use this frequently every year on different lawns, so it's extremely useful for me

Hey brother. Love your vids. I have a couple brown spots and a couple compacted round soil spots. Can i spray dethatcher(liquid) and spray bioadvanced fungicide same day? I wanted to dethatch with machine but was advised that i should wait until September because i have Tall Fescue in Md and because of heat stress. Helpppp Brother. Peace
@bmoreinvestor5900 Are those brown spots from a fungus or from heat stress? Do you know if you have a thick layer of thatch? Dethatching with a machine will be best, and yes, do that in September. That will beat your lawn up, but after you dethatch, fertilize your lawn after you're done, and that should help it BIG TIME. Right now, all you should be doing is watering. Us tall fescue folks are just trying to make it it September so that we can revitalize our lawns 👍🏾
@@PoloFieldsLawnService Lawn is wonderful it's just those few spots spread out. I definitely see thatch thick on 2 of the spots. I believe fungus is the issue with the other spots. I sprayed a second fungicide application and put some dawn on those thatch areas. I can't wait until September man.
@@bmoreinvestor5900 it'll be here before you know it

Stop watering your grass at night I think pass 8:30 PM,why I said that, grass has to have time to dry out, leaving all that water on your grass over night, it's going to get a disease.

I just fertilized it with Bandini early morning. I have a guy to come over to check all my front yard sprinklers on Monday! I don't think I'm getting good coverage.
@d5078 When you say yellow, what do you mean? Is it stressed, or do you have melting out? I will say that fertilizer isn't gonna green back up stressed out grass, and I hope it isn't melting out because that fertilizer will make it worse.
Great job, thanks!
