Another key tip would be that the shrub needs to be trimmed in a pyramid type cut. Reason being is so sunlight can reach the entire plant from top to bottom. You never want the lower part farther inward than the top. Those lower branches and leaves will eventually thin and die out if they don’t get any sunlight. Great information!

Great tip Sidney, that's why for this particular shrub and the way that it was shaped, I trimmed straight up and down and not trimming onto the bottom of the shrub. This way, the shrub and its branches can still receive sunlight at the bottom. We're on the same page, sir 👌🏾
