Man, u have just discovered your channel and jt has already helled me tremendously. Hoping to see more videos
So great!
Dude, you go way too fast for us to learn
I had to watch the 3D sketch section about 10 times to follow what you did re the intersection, but I'm glad I did, it really helped me place and dimension cables & tubes properly in my design.
This was so interesting. I learned alot from this
I think I'm falling in love with you
Love it.
I love all the guitar models. We used fusion 360 in high school specifically to design electric guitars lol.
5:41 How are you getting an operating mechanism?
Using joints. It locates and restricts movement of components to only certain planes or axis etc.
This is excellent. I started learning all this 2 years ago but I only just found this excellent video. Damn the algo
Austin I wonder if you could help please? I thought I had followed you note for note on this until I got to the dimension for the heel width and although I dragged it out parallel when I left clicked to put in heel dimension I got a window opened saying over constrained and asking to create a driven dimension instead?? What did I do wrong?? I check my screen against yours and I seem to have the same constraints i.e centreline/origin/fretboard end and last fret parallel constraints and nut end and bridge centre constraints. Any ideas where I might be going wrong? Hope you can help Thanks
Dude, you lost me in the first 3 seconds. You go WAY too fast for beginners.
Are the tools center cutting or regular? I am having serious chatterwhen not using center cutting bits.
came back to watch this again when returning to the program. this is a great way to reorient to best practices.
For soldering, the more metal to heat up , the longer you have to leave the iron tip on it. Just have a little thin on the tip to create a heat bridge, wait a bit and insert the wire with additional thin.... it will solve your soldering problem. Applaying flux paste to the joint before soldering will help greatly for thin to adhere. Clean with alchool after to remove flux residue.
This channel is gold! You are gold! Just starting out my journey in fusion 360, and want to do a guitar at some point, and so far your channel is the absolute best I have found on the subject! Thank you! <3
This series is just awesome! I am so glad I found your channel and appreciate your willingness to share so much information with us! On your work holding for the back side, have you considered adding a raised strip to your jog that fits snuggly into the rod slot? That would give you real positive grab to prevent left/right shifting and potentially allow you to put a neck back on the jig after removal.
do you have a video that explains what you did in tip 2?
I am creating multiple components but I am using project a lot to base the new component on the other component. Is this a good workflow or would you recommend something else?
Hey, I haven't started using this software, but this is exactly the video I was looking for. Thank you.
Hi Austin, thanks for sharing all of your knowledge,. Here is a feature maybe you can add to the fretboard, is to make it more solid in construction, and have a more solid neck. in basses this is crusial. kzread.info/dash/bejne/nHp9mq-GYrPRd7A.html take a look to this. The idea is to have like binding fretboard without making a binding. I think can be a nice feature and dont looks dificult to do.
When using the mirror tool inside a sketch and mirroring the feature later on instead lead to the same final geometry, which one should be preferred ? I tend to mirror features because it's easier to go back and edit, while i have no idea how to properly edit a validated sketch that includes mirrors and patterns.
Agree with the other comments.. This is one of the best tutorials I have watched for Fusion. :-) Subscribed!
if anyone could help me out, i would be looking for more of this knowledge. i think im a pretty good modeler but for example the curve intersect feature was completely new to me. How can I become better at modeling itself? because when i do a project i just use the workflow im already familiar with, and sometimes that gets very hard, very tedious and very error prone and can only be fixed in ugly ways. Does anybody else experience this, and how did you go about progressing further?
You've shown me everythng I needed to know in ONE video, where 50 other videos did not! Absolute gold dude! Would love to see more of these, starting with milling gears ;)
Hi Austin. Just for your information, fumes and dust from cutting or sanding phenolic is very toxic. Using a breathing mask is a good idea when making fine particules. I have work with it few times at my job and it is very nasty.
Hi Austin, I like your videos and tutorials a lot. Thx for sharing your knowledge. The design of your CNC mill looks very interesting, too. Would you share those design files or only the drawings? Cheers, Klaus
So good teacher thankss))
thankss
very great thankss))))))
Thanks very useful video😊
T H A N K ___ Y O U ! ! !
Austin, Sweetie, would you post how to make the right arch top cutout? TY!
Great drawing...but you didn't actually show how to create these bevels in real wood...w/o a CNC machine!
What an amazing video thank you.
I am following video on parametric modeling a fretboard, for some reason when I apply user parameters to sketch the fretboard sketch twists and will not allow me to draw frets on fixed fretboard outline. Any idea what is going wrong???
Hello Austin, i was looking at the Cam_trace_toolpath_shelf_nut sketch and I notice that the path is off of center from the Fret_slot_overhang sketch and going past the stated blind fret slot I entered, thanks for your time. i am learning a lot from your channel as of late.
Thank you so much for taking the time to explain everything we need to know about this new CNC world ,, you explanation are so clear and perfect for me as a beginner
Excellent video! :)
Brilliant job, Austin. Thank you so much!
uuuhhhj - i own that screwdriver ! it is rather nice
Great video on using the loft command for carved tops... I have built a number of F-style mandolin models using patches... the difficult part for me is connecting the scroll to the main body of the mandolin. My current models require a bit more hand work around this transition than I would like. any thoughts adapting your technique to build an F style mando/scroll?
parameters isn't an option under modify. are you using a paid version?
Best Joint tutorial yet. Thanks.
Exactly what I was looking for! Great video!
AMAZING WORK
This video is excellent! Fusion is not easy to pickup quickly and the level of explanation in this video is well suited for the beginner. Thank you Austin.
That was very helpful and filled in a few details I was unaware of. I now need to practice over the next few days this week to make sure it sticks. 👍😎👍
Great, easy-to-follow video!!!!! Is it possible to do parametric fretboard with compound radius? This would give a little more flexibility in the parametric design.
I have the same issue, I came from solidworks, so don't understand how the joints works. thanks for the video
