You’re awesome. Thanks Austin. Thanks Austin’s wife. Monetise away! We’ll still be here for the quality content mate.

My congrats to you and the wife for the new addition to the family. Best of luck with life and channel. Looking forward to see what comes next. P.S.: On the Ad...Monetize it, every reasonable viewer knows and understand that. Also midrolls are absolutely OK so long as it is not under 12 to 15mins in interval. You can safely put 3 midroll and 1 endroll on an hr long video. Actually, if you want avoid something, Ads at start will be almost exclusively skipped, midroll and endrolls have much better potential. If you wish, you can offer your direct supporters early access to videos on patreon as reward. These are tactics that have seen work for other creators.

You deserve 1k subscribers and many many more, you’ve found a place in KZread that although very popular, not many know how to share knowledge about this topic, you have found the way to make it easy to follow and understand, so thanks to you!

Congratulations man! Nobody like ads, but as you said they are not going away. I will watch ads on your channel with no problem. For the amount of value you put out it is the smallest price to pay. I am looking forward to a guitar building series.

Congrats. Your videos are great, you are very good at explaining things clearly. I can imagine that you invest a lot of time and energy to produce those videos, so I hope you are rewarded with the success of your channel. I have been watching the cam videos, and have learned a lot. I was hoping to see a few clips of the guitar being machined and the finished product at the end. Keep up the good work.

We all appreciate everey minute you put into your videos! I think you can really get this channel to be big, you just have to keep going. Be sure to make time for family too, though. In regards to ads, I completely agree with you. I HATE midroll ads, however it is ok in the super long videos. I can't wait for the build!Keep up the great work!

Thanks mate! Yeah I want to be respectful of everyone's time when it comes to ads. Since ads appear on most videos anyway, I figured why not use them to help the channel grow. Family always #1 - usually If you see me miss a week uploading a video it is because of some family thing.

Congrats on the baby girl and the subscriber milestone! Well deserved. I fully agree with your ad strategy. It is what I have been doing. The idea of viewers following a tutorial and getting interrupted midway really bugs me. Having gone through this KZread journey, I have come to appreciate that the most important thing is that you have to enjoy making these videos. Nothing else matters. Keep up the passion and the good work😀

Thanks man! Yeah, tutorials are best when uninterrupted, so I need to be mindful of that going forward. I definitely enjoy making these even though they are so time consuming. Can't wait to hit where you are at, keep up the good work!

@@austinshaner You are doing way better than I ever did at a similar stage, especially in terms of views and engagement. Took me 2 years to hit 1K. With your current trajectory, you will surpass me in no time!

No, thank YOU! You have no idea how much I have learned through your videos. You're a very generous guy for sharing all that knowledge for free, and no, I wouldn't mind one bit if your videos started playing ads before, after or even midroll. Congratulations on 1000 subs and know that this channel has the potential for many more. I wish you and your family all the best, don't forget to have fun raising the baby!

I'm truly sorry to hear that. This channel has never been about money. It's about helping people achieve what they want to do in Fusion and pushing the boundaries of what Fusion is capable of. I avoided patreon and dreaded talking about monetization for a long time for precisely that perception. My patreon actually only got started initially because I had many people actually asking me to create one so they could support me. Even then, I was on the fence about it. However, the reality of making KZread videos is that they are insanely time consuming. What you see as a 30m or 1 hour video often takes me a weeks worth of planning and 8 or more hours to record, edit, and upload. Sucking away precious time from my family and sleep. I needed to justify that time by making it valuable to my family. But I still make a pretty concerted effort to never make ads, patreon plugs etc the focus of any video - including them only at the very end (when most people have clicked off) and in my descriptions. I keep any discussion partaining to them or any personal life information that may be relevent to the channel in my channel update videos so it does not contaminate the content people are looking for. Thank you for watching and subscribing to my content up to this point, I hope you still find my non-channel update videos worthwhile, but I wish you well mate ❤
