The deadline is over, and 4 brave souls have submitted their work for the Project Mehr Guitar buildoff!
In this video I showcase each build in detail and go over what makes them great as well as what I would do different.

I would say the 3rd submission is the clear winner. Although I understand the different angle lines and pick directions, but for me the details sold it. I don’t find it busy rather it oozes quality. Love the inlay top. Beautiful. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
This is a really cool project, and props to you for making an open source design for people to build off of. It’s also a really great example of how having a cnc does not a luthier make. Love seeing the different takes on the model and how varied peoples ideas can be within the same format.

Awesome builds, I just got my first CNC only a 400x400 but I'm learning and hope ill be able to build a guitar in the future. Your channel has helped me a lot, keep it going please :)
Even though voting is closed, my favorite is the third one, my 2nd favorite is the first one you showed. The last one would come in third place in my book. Finally, the second one, despite all of the potential, came in last.
On the 1st project: the fretboard is 100% wenge, not ziricote. Just saying.

Indeed. I should have trusted my gut. It looked like wenge but the list manit sent me said ziricote. Apparently that was the 1st fretboard he made but later changed it to wenge.

The community page just seems to route back to channel page and there is no clear link to vote. If it counts, I vote for Dane’s submission, it’s beautiful.
As far as I'm concerned, the basic body design is fugly and I wouldn't want any of them or vote for any of them.
