As an old guy, I enjoyed Dennis's reflections. :) I was impressed that everybody knew how to skate. However, that looks like a huge investment. As an old guy, I believe in pay and do when you have funds, not financing. I hope you are ok with money. Good luck with the contractors and material problems. :) Do not prepay a contractor. :)

Love the new shops progress I pave with my family’s paving company in New England. Idk if any contractors gave you options on paving but my advice would be to pave the lot in 1/2 baby binder only it will look like top coat mix but very stronger and instead of just Sealcoating the one area get a quote on resurfacing that section only with the same mix it will match and last years more then sealcoating will with a dumpster truck and trailers on it. 😎👍

suggest putting your compressor outside for 2 reasons. They are loud, leak out and compressors burn a lot of buildings down. put it in a tin lined little overhang outside.
And get to work in the morning to find someone has stolen that nice compressor. 90% of the shops I've worked in over the years have the compressor inside and 100% of them in areas with winter frost/snow.

i drive a 60 ragtop sunroof bug daily. in the mid 80's Hot VW's magazine did a feature article on a front suspension part i designed. now EMPI has copied it and sell it....🤬 also i road raced a 66 bug with SCCA starting early 80's
I love listening to your dad talk. He's such a wealth of knowledge! I grew up building cars with my dad too, but not to the extent he's doing! Putting that old school knowledge with the new technology we have, he's definitely shown his talent! How's Nick doing Alex? You guys should come to FL. I'm almost finished w/my 99 Camaro SS. 44k mile car, navy blue, I put a QP fab 9 in it, 3.70 gear, MWC anti roll bar, lower rear control arms, i just need good shocks or coil overs for radial car, built MVB TH400, no brake though, CircleD converter, 11.4:1 408" LS from a 6.0 iron block, done by Mike Lough, and assembled by me. Started with a bolt on Huron Speed t4 ac kit, which keeps stock stuff, radiator, air, etc. Worked with a small turbo, but I had to get a 91/102 FIS from Jose, and still concerned about back pressure issues! Need to add a 2nd gate, bought a Griffin radiator, common thing to do in these cars to make room, but with slim puller fans on a slim shroud, the turbine housing hit, so i cut it all out, mounting radiator in front of core support! It's going soon for exhaust and to have some v bands added, as well as modified for this little "T4 wannabe"!lol
Be sweet to see that '55 Gasser with a newer, either n/a, big c.i LS, or blown LS...A 13.5:1 441" LS will go bottom 9's, high 8's on e85, completely streetable, he holds the record for the fastest 60E Camaro! Car went 8.80 on motor..? High 70's. But that'd be a hell of a combo to stick in the 57 with like 150-200 shot, or a screw blower. I'm sure you saw what Garrett Mitchell did with the blazer they got on race week! That thing is a nasty, wheelie machine!
