That is definitely the most beautiful card in this video. Very good looking. So true. WW2. What the world was like back then. Been watching tons of miniseries of that lately. Thanks for sharing Brent. I appreciate your perspective and contribution.

There are only two cards in the 1941 Play Ball set that I put above the rest, pieces of artwork as you stated, the first being the Joe DiMaggio and the second being the Bobby Doerr. Great pickup!! I still don't have the Bobby Doerr card.

Where do I start. First off, early nomination for video of the decade. I had to pick myself up off the floor and get a strong cup of coffee before I could type a response. My favorites had to be Rickey, Ripken, Brooks, RJ, and Griffey naturally. Second, excellent choice of music, Chicago is all things classic. Third, very nice card, you can not even see the creasing at arms, or camera's, length. It's hidden in that darker area. I really like the full name on the bold back too. I'll have to look at the checklist to see if there is someone in this set that makes sense for me to pick up.

Eddy! Thanks so much for the reaction and the comment. I appreciate you appreciating this. Often I make content that at the end of the day may only be for me in my mind cause my mind is often random when it comes to the hobby. It's fun to see my randomness landing positively once in a while!

They definitely should have used hotdogs to cover up the Billy Ripken FF card!! You and I are now clubbies on the Wilson Franks Bob Feller card. I also have the Campanella card. But one of my all time cards in the hobby that I want is the Ted Williams. I’d rather have that card than the 52’ Mantle.

Very nice. I think it would be helpful if grading companies were to distinguish between a period alteration and one done long after the fact say for a profit motive. Even aside from questioning whether the far-from-expert personnel would be capable of discerning this kind of thing, I do get it that it might be troublesome to decide things like a cut off date for calling an alteration "period" and so on.

Great addition Brent! To me, at the end of the day, the Authentic is fantastic. It is real, it presents well, and saved you some dough. Enjoy it for what it is: a beautiful piece of cardboard. Appreciate you sharing.

I like your thought process on the trimming of that particular card. Beautiful card for sure and you could probably only get it because it was authentic, at least that would be the case for me. I think about what old cards have been through all the time. It almost seems like a miracle sometimes that they still exist. I would say you are getting close to a plethora of sweater T206 cards.

I appreciate the shout-out Brent and I loved the line, "knew him before the tattoos!". 😁 Great looking Nap and I dig the idea about collecting the players with a sweater on! Worst case, being this is for your collection, you could crack it out and put it in a binder to ignore the "trimming" wording. It is amazing that an item that is 115 years old, does look so good after all of that time.
