Always appreciate the chance to go back in time to when Star Wars was fresh and new and inventive. Thanks Brent!

When Star Wars was simpler, and our imaginations were free to run rampant , filling in the myriad unexplained gaps in lore and backstory. Guaranteed my Vader origin story was vastly different than yours, and the movie playing in my head, showing off the kessel run, was undoubtedly drastically different than anyone else’s. And the way Leia slowly removed her dress… wait, sorry, that’s for my personal fanfic story. Move along. Move along. I love the adoration of the set, as much as I love the set. I even love that they’re slabbed, as if the thick plastic barrier is putting up a shield to protect the youthful innocence and wonder of a franchise that would later go on to analyze, over analyze, and analyze again every detail of the franchise. Also, there’s some analyzing in my Leia fanfic. I’ll send you an autographed copy. Love the video.

Not shocked in the least that you get it. It's such an interesting dichotomy... there's simplicity in hindsight compared to today's content but grandiose and borderline bombastic in the time it came out and years to follow...yet both viewpoints are equal in their appreciation for what it is and what it meant to each of us, sparking the imagination and filling us with wonderment.

Loved this video Brent! I believe in the original script for Star Wars the term "Sith" is used, and on several promotional items at the time for the original Star Wars it mentioned Darth Vader was a Sith, although it was never stated in the film. But that term was there at the beginning.

It was. In fact the term Sith is in a deleted scene...from the Death Star "board room" scene towards the beginning of the film.

Great video highlighting the original Star Wars Topps set. Awesome book. I completely nerded out with you on this video. Might have to look for that book. Do you submit your own ungraded Star Wars cards for grading, or do you buy them already graded? They look great in the Tux!

ayye sorry bud but the majority of these you have here are the eastern European repro ones released in the late 80's. seen many collectors get caught out by them.
