Personally I like depth in a display. I like shelves with stuff in the back, stuff in the front. A place you can kind of peak into, more so than just a frame with the slabs lined up.

I have too many windows to display my cards out in the open. I ruined some autographed photos even with shades/blinds closed. They started turning orange.
