What a great card of our hero, as a kid, growing up! I fought many a lightsaber battles as Luke! Never lost a single one!😁

You make a great point. I more lean towards the 1985 Topps Garbage Pail Kids card of Adam Bomb, but that’s just me. 👍

Awesome video! The Luke Skywalker and the 1966 black bat Batman #1 card are the two greatest non-sports cards for me.

Great looking and an Iconic card for a generation of Star Wars fans. We got to the theater and the line was 2 blocks long to see Star Wars. Went to a different movie that day. Didn't watch Star Wars until about 10 years ago. I used to watch The Rifleman, so I have similar feelings for my Chuck Connors Exhibit cards. I do have my brothers land speeder in my card room, he passed 17 years ago.

That is a tough card to find. You look for Topps Skywalker 1977 1 and it gives you "series 1", "PSA 1", "pick the cards you need" and every other series with a 1 in it. My brother gave me a ton of SW cards and they were almost all duplicates, yet I'm missing so many. The guy that collected them, his collection and condition were nearly identical to mine.

Great insights and good argument. I am more a Star Trek fan, but I love Star Wars too.

Howdy. new subscriber here. I was sent over to your channel by Orlando at A Collector's Dream. // I am a huge fan of Star Wars fan. I collected all 5 series of that Star Wars set many years ago. // While, I believe that the Luke card is the most iconic Star Wars card, I don't think it is the most iconic non-sports card ever. If I had to pick one, it would be the combo card of Walt Disney with Mickey Mouse issued in the UK during the 1930's. However, I still love that Luke card. // Thanks for the neat video.

The 1931 Wills Walt Disney is a great choice and one I considered as well. Besides the fact I don't have a copy to show 😂 was the reason I feel the Skywalker transcends others is it's both iconic in the collecting world and in the world of pop culture/cinema. While obviously Walt Disney is arguably one of the most influential creators ever, the actual card doesn't hit on the same level. I could talk about this all day so I'll stop and say I greatly appreciate you and your thoughts, sub and the time you took to watch and comment. Means a lot! Cheers!

Absolutely iconic card. I think the Threepio card is… harder… to come by, though. 😉

I love this card, in my opinion it is the most nostalgic movie card. I looked all over for 3-1/2 days at the National this past year for Star Wars cards and found only a few cards. I was surprised. I guess Pokémon cards are are much more popular than Star Wars. So, dare I say that the original Charizard is the most popular non-sport card of all time? I don’t have any Pokémon cards, but have this card.

Pokemon is a world I've never been a pet of but you're right...that would definitely resonate with many people. Good call out!

It's definitely on the Mount Rushmore of Non-Sports cards IMHO. Luke Skywalker is pretty much a cultural icon. I don't give a damn what Rian Johnson says!
