Hi, I’m Amber. I'm a community builder, educator, and artist.
I am a curious person and a connector; over the past 25 years I have built communities and thrown events around yoga, art, craft, graphic design, food justice, the hardcore punk music scene, bikelife, entrepreneurship, and more.
The past 14 years I’ve been working in the yoga industry. I am the creator of Body Positive Yoga, a teaching method and a community built around body liberation and accessibility. It was also an events-based business built around education and peer mentorship at the intersection of yoga and body image. I am also the co-creator of projects like Accessible Yoga School and Yoga For All Online Training.
I’ve been spending the last 4 years supporting other solo business owners through business coaching and marketing strategy. I’m also rolling out some new work like a surfing retreat for complete beginners, a community called the Double Dog Dare Club, a marketing game show, and more.

Be who you are. Be authentic. You are you! No one can change that, especially you. As cheezy as it sounds..follow your heart..you will have a following. I used to copy other instructors but realized, your path and following will be with people who relate to you..your uniqueness. I don't compete with social media or try to It's maddening. You get it and have it.. go out and create. Don't 2nd guess yourself. You have the power to be successful. Just be and do it. Your past took you to this new journey, the present. Embrace it. Tha is all there is..the present to make the future. The best in your endeavors Love and hugs to you.

Hey just shoot me a DM on instagram @amberkarnesofficial
I used to think fitness came after being thin and that aging came with poor health. Because of you and other Influencers my thinking has changed. Thank you!

Yes!! I totally agree! It is wonderful to see a regular human work out! I’m a plus size 57 year old black woman in the gym everyday, and representation matters💚
Absolutely!
Appreciate your honesty and respect your courage! Wishing you peace and joy on your continuing journey of self-discovery and helping others!
Well fair play to you. I came here after finding your beginner yoga posts for body positive people. I have found some great tips there. How marvelous that you have now found another community that feeds your soul. What great life legacies you have created at such a young age - gifts for others to tap into as needed. Bravo.
Thank you for your comments about social media. I can relate to your challenge to stay present amidst a world of social media dominance. I think that’s why I prefer long form on KZread…..🚴 looking forward to seeing your work evolve

Thanks for the update & transparency. I'm so glad you're finding joy when & where you can!!
Thanks <3
And thank You for your transparency. We were in survival mode for real and social media didn't help. People acted like nothing happened. Glad to hear that you are working the healing process.
Thank you <3
I just discovered you today after looking for yoga for bigger bodies. I am close to 300lbs and went to a yoga class after 10 years so I'm grateful for your tutorials.
Absolutely! I have some more stuff you might be interested in: bodypositiveyoga.com/membership and bodypositiveyoga.com/chairyoga both have a lot more! I am going to start uploading some classes here too <3
The gag is, the bike lanes (if they even exist) are often obstructed by…CARS. Pedestrian safety is paramount, and so no, I shan’t be riding a bike on the sidewalk.
Tell it!! Glad you’re back in YT Amber. I love your no bullshit attitude
Thanks :P
Baltimore (as well as many other cities)is full of bikes. And those bike deserve space. City traffic needs to respect bike traffic. Period.
👏👏👏
so inspiring, honest and vulnerable! thanks for sharing your journey.
<3
So proud of you, bud! I've loved knowing you via the internet since pre-knitting, then knitting, and now bikes! The Wheelie kids in Philly are wild also - love this connection you've formed with the B'More crew! Come up to Philly and ride sometime <3
Thanks so much <3 I would love to ride in Philly!!

Happy to have spent time watching this. I'm on my own evolutionary journey since 2020 and this was a great reminder that everything changes, but that can be a beautiful thing. Good luck with all the new adventures!
Thank you
Totally appreciate everything about this post. During the pandemic I took my first 200hr YTT, Accessible Yoga and Yoga for All. You are such an inspiration. I also 100% feel you on needing to set things aside and reset. Appreciate you so much! 🙏🏻
Thank you so much
Thank you for being so open and sharing your experience. As a middle-aged mother of two, the pandemic rocked my world in both wonderful and very difficult ways. Your message is a good reminder to embrace change and trust myself to find success again, in a different way. Best of luck to you in your new beginning. ❤
Thanks Jennifer
Amen! "Content creating" is the true thief of joy imo
Definitely
I'm so happy to hear from you! You got me interested in yoga. You helped me to realize that, even though I live in a bigger body, I can still move in a way that makes me feel good. I wish you all good things! Follow your heart and do what ever makes you happy! xoxoxo
Thanks so much
OMG, thank you for scratching the itch in my brain! I must have found and followed you for yoga pre-pandemic. But the thing is, I was never on IG until Elon took over Twitter. Then when it seemed like it might go away at any moment, I tried to get into other platforms and I reconnected with Instagram. And I was like "why am I following this bike person??" Now I know, and I'm glad I still follow you. It's so much fun to keep becoming a new person, isn't it? I'm 45 now and I can't wait to see who I'll be in another decade!
Thank you 😁
I love this video so much and the young people you're welcoming to Amber House whose excellence and creativity you're amplifying will be a gift to the world. ❤❤❤
Thank you
So glad to hear from you. Thank you for all that you taught during the various online classes. Do you, Boo. All the very best!
You are so welcome
