I picked up another 924s after selling one a few years back. They are awesome city and highway cars. Excellent both at lower speeds and highway speeds. Im guessing you need to do your own work. Mechanics either won't work on them, or supposed experts on the car are not..

Love the old Viva GLS brought back to life, a load of fun. A bit hard for parts, look to Canada 🇨🇦, New Zealand 🇳🇿 and South Africa 🇿🇦 ( the later known as Chevrolet Firenza Can-Am )❤

Had one of these, yep hes right, these cars are so individual as is their driving capabilities, no two are the same. Always admired them and now I really really want one i cant find one? (or afford a good one)

I've always loved the 924S, with the proper Porsche engine in it. I just so wished I'd bought one, back when they were still just seen as a poor relation to the 911, and nobody wanted them. A friend of mine used to regularly buy these for well under a grand in the late 90's, good ones too. But now 911 prices have gone stratospheric and 928's aren't far behind, people started seeing these for what they were, a perfectly respectable entry into Porsche ownership, so obviously prices are starting to reflect this

Always liked the 924. In 1987 I drove both new Mazda rx-7 and the 1987 924s. Wound up buying the rx-7. Both were nice!

Mustang engine looks right home 🏡 👌 in the green engine bay. Started wondering about what axles may substitute the existing rear axle. Can't remember Capri axle, either leaf or trailing arm. If trailing arm like Mk3 Cortina, could use TC ( aussie Cortina mk3 ) that used the large 6 cylinder engines 200ci ( 3300cc) or its larger sibling 250ci ( 4100cc). Stopping short of the above, could use Chevrolet ( Can Am ) Firenza from South Africa's trailing arm axle that uses the V8 from the Z28 Camaro. Look forward to your future deliberations. Considering it hit the design drawing board around 1981 it was quite advanced in it's time - Ford were still flogging the Cortina. I have a 1993 2.0 Diplomat manual that I've owned since 1999, it has done 278k on the original engine/gearbox/clutch. It never failed on rust until 2018 - at 25 years old.

924S = 1130 kg (924 2.0 = 1080 kg), 1986 model = 148 bhp, 1988 model = 158 bhp ! Keep the facts right ;)
