If I recall correctly, the Duplicolor has a 48 hour drying time. The high heat primer and high heat gloss black require oven curing. The parts that got the high heat paint were baked in the oven. I ended up curing the final coat of green paint in the oven as well so that I could more quickly get on with sanding and the clear coat. Ordinary spraypaint can be quickly cured in the oven at about 200-250° for 30. Of course, it needs to be dry enough to handle before you do that.

Nice video and lantern, I have a 103 that looks much like the 132 and has the gasoline/ kerosene decal on the fount. Sadly it’s missing the control valve, know anything that fits?
Yes, like a Coleman Quicklite, the 103 will run on either gas or kerosene. As far as a compatible valve goes, I have no idea. I didn't make any measurements when I had my 103 in pieces. I think I've seen them with Coleman Quicklite (327 or 427) valves fitted to them and with a Q99 or R55 generator, but may be wrong.
I have a spare 427 valve stem, I’ll try it thanks. I got a weird Coleman 4H that I have never seen another one like it I’ll send you a picture.
Hello Bill, What is the reason for the stress cracks? Why is it common with those AGM and lanterns? What occurred? What mistake did they make with those lanterns? Is it because the brass was not thick enough ?
I've been told the most likely reason had to do with the manufacturing process and that whatever AGM was doing resulted in the brass getting work-hardened more than it should have.
@@king.coleman ok thank you!
Hello Bill, i have a question will a regular heating cup fit the quick lite lanterns,or are they special diameter?
Do you mean a preheat cup? There's no "regular" preheat cup. There are several different styles and at least two different diameters for the through hole. The ones that fit an R-55 have a smaller diameter hole (and are smaller all around). The big kerosene preheat cups might fit too loosely, causing them to hang at an angle.
@@king.coleman ok thank you.
That is the most beautiful collection ever !
Great job!! I am so glad that, being the guy you are, finished it and lit 'er up!There are no shelf potatoes or door stops in my house! If you like a crazy guy doing crazy stuff, grab some popcorn and tune into RichyRefurbish on KZread and watch as I refurbish a Coleman #8A iron. Some of my methods are from the funny farm!!
These make great grilled cheese sandwiches 👍
I need an iron! 😁
You can interchange the R55 generator with an iron generator. I did it in my iron and noticed no performance difference. Two pumps of air is a good place to start.
