This is a grudge cabinet as ANC did have a majority. ANC did not act in good faith and cannot be trusted. The fact they increased the cabinet posts prove this is about keeping as much of their posts as possible. The corrupt MP's named by Zondo are still in parliament. This is about party gain and they have no interest in fixing the economy they broke.

The DA was completely conned at national level, all they have done is to spin the ANC good story, they wonder why the same is happening in Gauteng and the media / journalist class has gone agnostic again 🤷🏽‍♂️🤯

At this point, the only route for the DA is to uncover corruption and air it out in public. They have so little power and are no on the hook for corruption and mismanegment.

The DA sold out its voters. They can now make no difference to our employment, our finances and the public services. The DA is also going to go the same way as the old National Party... out the back door. Why did we waste our votes!

Got to be honest ANC is just not prepared to put country first, most people were so disappointed with the old wood being recycled. If unemployment and crime rate remains high the GNU has failed, but it will come back on the ANC because they hold those positions. Home office can also be held accountable for high crime because if drugs continue to stream in, criminals come in and disappear after crimes being committed, stolen vehicles crossing borders, terror financing. I think Gayton had a lucky escape actually. Even John had a lucky escape Agriculture is not going to make or break you.

One actually wonders about this that is out on social media : What does the ANC want? Having DA do the work that they should have done over the last 30 years. If the system works, the ANC takes the credit. If things don’t work, DA will be blamed.

As usual the ANC come out on top. Was this brilliant strategy or was it simply that we all know that they are prepared to destroy the country if they dont get their way? Personally I dont see how you can negotiate with the ANC given that they will happily see people starve or worse as long as they keep power

The ANC has played a very smart game. They have diluted the DAs power in cabinet by increasing the number of cabinet posts and removing crucial areas from DA control. This is bad faith. It's also a history of bad faith. So the DA should respond in kind in parliament when that vote of no confidence comes up. Ramaphosas only goal is retaining ANC power, looking at the cabinet

The DA should never have agreed to that letter of intent without stipulating a marked reduction in cabinet posts and a clear understanding regarding proportionality. The ANC, even after its loss, hasn't changed one bit. Now, we sit with a bloated cabinet filled with incompetent ANC deployees and can therefore expect more of the same. The DA is on a leash, so I won't hold my breath. It's quite disappointing, to say the least, and very far from a GNU. The ANC has far too much power because the cabinet does not reflect the will of the people.
