This was, in my opinion, the very definition of good journalism. Thank you Gabriel and the team at Daily Friend

This was a great video Gabriel. Please do more talking to everyday people in SA (maybe 1 a week). It's so interesting to hear everyone's thoughts from all walks of life. We all tend to live in a bubble, so its good to hear other peoples perspectives and stories to understand what is going on in our country.

What struck me was the comment about not reporting the assault to the police. Crime statistics in SA are totally inaccurate and far higher than the numbers show because of the public's complete lack of faith in state institutions.

The public has totally lost trust in any political party to be honest. All of these politicians know only one thing, which is self enrichment. This is the truth behind the scenes. This is why you see social movements like Operation Dudula and Put South Africans First gain traction.

My friend got robbed and tortured during a break-in last August or so, managed to get his gun and injure one the guys. The neighbour was there in 60 seconds, the security company was there within four minutes, the ambulance was there within ten minutes and the cops showed up after one and a half hours. They did congratulate him on managing to shoot one of the robbers, though….

Great video! Shows that South Africa is in a shambles when you look at the reality people find themselves in.

Nice one @Gabriel @IRR - so refreshing to see someone out on the streets, speaking to real people, who are trying to survive. They are the ones who need to tell their sad stories, so thank you!

This breaks my heart so much. Just shows you, if the corrupt government can just get out of the way, South Africa would fly!

The video was ironically very positive news, w/ the interviewed individual's saying smart statements, 'til the chap at the end said he'd be willing to possibly consider voting for the DA & even the inEFFectives🤣🤣😂 No vote is 10000000000∞x better than a vote for the inEFFectives!

SABC is not independent. They might be USAID sponsored, I assume. Reason for my assumption is because they mostly copy and paste what has been covered by western media. We are living under propaganda. Step back, try not to list to anyone besides your inner voice then observe. You will realise what's happening in the world.

I am South African and I am lazy honestly speaking, I work 9-5 as a Network Technician, assemble and sell custom gaming pc's on the side and do some website design for small businesses, I could do a few more things more than go to the gym and church but I am a lazy South African

Strange how Cyril told the gathering on freedom day the the ANC priority was LAND, not JOBS...how out of touch they seem to be (trying to tell the masses what is important - communism 101)
