Years ago a guy about two blocks from our house used to work on stock cars at his house (no idea what driver/team) but when he fired em up and revved em you could feel it at our house, crazy power!

I’d also love to meet you and your brother as well I love listening to the pod while driving I’m currently hauling milk and crème around for Dfa I used to pull a hopper around and really miss it ! Anyone ever heard bout that trucker that had a pet monkey in his truck nd one day he pulled up to rest stop... n this dog was barking at his truck with its owner n the driver said sir you better get that dog... guy said noo.. driver opened door n monkey ripped dog faces legs right off .
I had more fun and laughed harder than I have in a long time listening to those 2 old fellers. Thank you, you made my day!
This put a smile onto my husband's face. Thank you! Trucking has been so hard lately, this really made him happy!
More of this! This was awesome!
really old school trucking for me is a 200 hp mack engine and 220 hp Cummings engine
It's nice to hear from guys from back in my day, I started driving in 1963, and still have my CDL and move specialized machinery all over the country. I'm originally from Texas which is where I started, My first truck was a D model Mack truck with a 5X4 transmission.
Just found this channel, hope you guys didn’t give up. Some good content
This never gets old. I have watched this so many times and still laugh my ass off. Sent this link to lads I know back in Ireland and they love it. Billy Jack is born storyteller.
Old Fred
GEORGE SMITH ran a dozen or more Astro,s with 318 from Wgp Manitoba to Vancouver hauling fruit and containers in the late 60/70
The weather planning vs being on the road is definitely a great point. I raced sailboats for years it was literally a huge part of the process before we left. I see myself and my fellow sailing buddies doing this for our road trips. We literally compete between us nailing the best weather/traffic timing to avoid the mess and or pending mess. 4wheelers need to do more of this also. It would definitely lower the risks to the freight that can’t pull off.
Great show men
Y'all need to let us owner operators call in. I love show.
Great episode!! 😂😂😂
There at the end you talked about a network. Something like Harvest Host for RVing
My question is if I'm on icy roads but I'm in an automatic and I use the engine brake the truck automatically downshifts which shoots my RPMs up. So should I just avoid engine braking on icy roads if I'm in an automatic, where is there another way around it glad I found you guys the podcast was funny and very informative
Switch to manual mode to prevent this from happening. Choose the proper gear prior to activating the engine brake.
@@maxdwyer7788 gotcha thank you. Swift actually disabled that I believe on there trucks. I can change the gear but the computer will change it right back cause it won't actually let go into manual mode. But thank you though that helped for when I leave Swift I know what to do.
I've looked at KZread for this podcast but there isn't many here compared to Spotify. Why?
to expensive having videos edited.
@@steadyatthewheel i understand. It's too bad it's expensive so I guess I'll have to go to Spotify
Hay podcast, what awesome listen. I'm a truck driver from New Zealand and Australia so glad I came across this KZread
I had to laugh guys. The ad that just showed was for Expedia, after your wonderful experience! I had a similar experience with Expedia trying to rebook a flight when a family member passed and we weren’t going to be able to attend the funeral service. They would not work with us at all. I could cancel my flight and book a different flight at full price with no credit!

Yeah your kids are only young once. Put it this way every minute you can spend with your kids will be a minute you won't regret later. But you gotta provide for them first. Its a thin line. There's a lot of people that would like to have your troubles.
