So, You Want To Be An Auctioneer...Tongue Twister, Auctioneer Chant, Count...Repeat...Repeat...
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Episode 27: 4 of 5 episodes with Jaxon and Weston. This episode is a deviation from the trucking and Jaxon's starting a trucking business that have been the theme of the past few episodes. Instead, there is discussion of one of Jaxon's other passions: auctioneering.
The episode starts off with some basic, yet important, advice on standing your ground when it comes to risking damage to your truck vs unloading exactly where someone wants a load dropped. This is particularly important to independent drivers who's lifeblood is that truck.
The bulk of the episode is the circumstances of Jaxon and Weston getting into auctioneering. As with most of these stories, it is not as simple as "I went to auctioneer school". There is a full arch described...introduction to auctioneering, auctioneer school, tongue twister, livestock auction, auctioneering competition, and the departure from being a full time auctioneer.

“Jim” sure found his flow after that first show. He seemed kinda hesitant on the first one but by end of second he seemed very comfortable 🙂
Reminded me of growing up at sale barns in Oakdale & Turlock, Calif … loved just sitting there and listening to the auctioneers; no idea what was being said, but loved the rhythmic sounds. Still love hearing it. Lol. I will listen to Barrett Jackson auctions … well, the cars are cool too.
We’ve always called city cops “city kitties “
You and Weston were a hoot on both of your Podcasts with him! You can tell you all are very close family so much enjoyed your stories. I also loved the 1 with Rooster and Billy Jack!
You guys are hilarious together. Love the Weston series.
Doing it all lol with your whole head shaved 😂
Right on! I super respect how you rebelled and you were like: I'm not gonna change the way I am/ look for a job. It seems preposterous to me. You could be the best at what you do but because of the beard and the long hair they went: nope! Absurd. It's their loss. Anyways, I feel like I've learned so much since I started watching your videos. I had zero clue about the ranching reality and the auctioneering part of it, is without a doubt the part I got most intrigued by! Do you think that the fact that you are musically inclined helped you at all? Interesting stuff, I also wish you guys had pictures of that era to go with the stories 😄
Growing up in the country I remember the reel of the auctioneers whether it be a cattle auction, household good or an estate sale. Great hearing the oration again.
Hello there bud ✌️🙏

Oh the war bonnet how about the Conoco station and the kwik way across the street
Had to laugh about you not shaving and standing your ground. Good for you ! And when I was trucking my driver's never left the pavement under any circumstances. I did flat bed for a few years and was always asked to drive up on the jobsite . My rig my rules ! Upset a lot of people but oh well. Same with tarping a load , I'd get some nasty dripping in mud wood and they wanted it covered . I'd just tell them to take it off or I haul it like it is and have them sign it off no tarps needed another great video thank you

These two got into some funny stuff!
Weston mentioned Letitia Frye. I looked her up. She sure knows self-promotion. She looks…expensive.
Road gator what we say here in Ohio
Speaks of wiggle wagons jax, here is one for you. The company asked me to do some Trailer P&D / shuffling. trailers brought to the shop for yearly safety inspections ect. Fed X ground was one of our clients. they are located way upbeside the airport, the shop was way down in the se in the industrial area. the truck they used was a baby IH single axle. Well thinking why waist my whole night going back and forth with those little trailers. I hooked up 5 of them into a train, a trailer, a converter, a trailer and so on. 5 trailers 4 converters. looked impressive, hell ya. so off i went happy little camper across the city no acidents, no problems, I parked the train in the yard, actually leavin the truck hooked to the lead and headed off to a diffrent job that was my regular job there. A few days later i walk into the bosses office. headed for my regular go have coffee, laugh, get my ass chewed for something I foregot, and catch up gossip like i done 100's of times. behind him on his wall was a Picture of the half Moon parked train of fed x trailers still hooked to the little truck with big lettered words,,, "WE WILL NOT DO THIS AGAIN!" written across the top of the picture in jiffy marker.. I still laugh so hard about the whole issue While it being discussed my only defence was Look at all the money for fuel I saved you! called a kook told to never do it again, it was amazing how many guys asked me how I did it with out having a wreak.
