Pennsylvania’s auctioneer of the year calls at a rapid speed. Here's his secret.
Brian Oberholtzer is Pennsylvania's auctioneer of the year. The professional auctioneer was recently recognized with a first place trophy at the Pennsylvania Auctioneers Association 2021 Bid Calling contest. Oberholtzer has sold livestock, farm equipment hay, homes and other goods. "My job is to sell it for the highest dollar that I possibly can," Oberholtzer said.

You are an Outstanding auctioneer! Calling numbers is very helpful because the customers can understand the first number called is the bid that you have, and then calling the second number is what a different customer can bid to have the opportunity to buy the item, but when the bidding stops whom ever has the last bid purchases the item .

Don't understand a damn thing and don't need a cattle. But watching these dudes drop bars like that makes me wanna buy buy buy 😆😆😆😆😆😆

Pretty much all you need to hear is the dollar amount.

If you have been in the auction world at all, you would know that he has excellent cadence and rhythm along with clarity which many auctioneers never achieve
