Perfect Your Speed Talking at This Auction School

Ойын-сауық

The Missouri Auction School is the oldest and largest auction school in the world. There, students learn all aspects of the business, but most importantly, they hone their auction chant. Before students graduate they have to sell at a real auction for real money. Going once, going twice ... sold!

    Your not an auctioneer until you learn how to land well placed jabs and harmless insults. For example calling for bids on an obvious worthless skid of rusty whatsits. Raps on the pallet with his stick and pointing accusatory at the buyers with a dead pan expression "awright c'mon boys - a smiles a bid". Never a dull moment...

  • @dustywelchcraneman6614

    @dustywelchcraneman6614

    Absolutely, but, the art of the chant is to build hype and urgency to the sale. So if ya got someone just hollars out numbers it might not sell high. When you go to a GOOD auction, you should be sweating even if you aren't bidding. My chest tightens up when I watch these videos and I aint even buying anything lol. I love a good auction. If I'm out driving around and see an auction happening that day I'll stop in just to hear them hollar and sell. I love auctions, livestock and equipment sales are the most popular around me.
