LOVE this recipe. Been making it for years. Everybody I make it for just loves it. My best friend's family & wife were born in Mexico & say this is exactly how their parents/grandparents make Carnitas. I like to go a little heavy on the sweetened, condensed milk & add a little extra Oregano from my garden (fresh if it's in season). Sure wish Del Tavo was still active on KZread & on his recipe webpage. Try out his Birria recipe - the Adobo sauce alone is worth it. Salud!

Recuerdo de chico, my dad used to always eat tacos, he was obsessed, and would take us to many tacos, and one of his favorites was a "Head tacos" stand in centro, mexico city, and he forced me to try tongue tacos, I was a lean beaf type of kid, but once he forced me, this became my favorite taco as well, though I do prefer it in thin slices instead of chopped, nice video man!

Why coke/soda? The soda is so bad for for consumption. I all for a good but what about another healthier alternative to go with the sweetened condensed milk. I love this my, Papi swears by coke. Love to know what the soda/coke does? Thank you. Buen provecho.
Great video! but I gotta say you are ingesting far too much teflon and metal in your diet. next time you sharpen a knife with a rasp rod, run the edge along some white paper towels. also, no metal on teflon or it chips. but great recipe all together!
I love lengua! We weren't even Hispanic but grew up eating it all the time. My grandmother used to boil it, remove the skin, and pan fry it. Oh, this brings back memories. Thank you for your video. 😊

This is by far the most bizarre set of ingredients I have ever seen in my life (a bucket of lard, evaporated milk, Mexican coke....I mean, who thought to do this to begin with?? I'll have to do my research! I had never known how street tacos were made before...lol...but it DEFINITELY wasn't anywhere in the ballpark as this though LOL! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing the traditional recipe and I cannot wait to try these!! They look soooooo good!

Quick question? What do u do with the broth that's left? Can it be used to make that barbacoa Consome or just dump it because the flavour is too strong and make the barbacoa Consome on the side?
