Brother it is a crime that you only have 3000 subscribers. Your production value is amazing and your recipes are fantastic. I've been watched almost every video you have and I'm planning on making your carnitas recipe tomorrow. You have more than earned me as a subscriber.

Additional tip, be sure to place the masa on the smooth side of the corn husk. Just rub your finger along each side of the husk, you will be able to feel raised ridges on one side. Be sure to use the smoother side. I'm going to have to give your recipe a try. Looks really good!

You, sir, are a genius !!!!!! To me the most time consuming and hard thing to do is to get the masa spread evenly onto the corn husks. This is such a time saver technique ! We love tamales and I try to make them as often as I have the time. I definitely will be using your technique. I can't tell you enough how excited I am about this. I hear angels singing. LOL Love your video and THANKS !

Great video. Your wife used two cornhusks to make one tamale and you only used one cornhusk. Any difference?

Jamie Lacson The husk split while she was folding it. She used another husk to cover the tear so that it wouldn't spill out when cooking. A tamale band-aid so to speak.

Thanks Sherry. I was thinking along the lines of perhaps, one husk is "well done" and two husks for "medium-well". Since this was pork, what I was thinking does not make sense.

Great question!! Thanks Sherry!! Sometimes they can tear if not soaked properly like mine. The main focus is to cover them enough to steam.

Really enjoy your recipes and seeing these techniques on cooking food I am not familiar with. I will be trying the tacos de lengua in the next week. I haven’t watched all your videos yet, I am curious on if you make a traditional red salsa, the type you would eat with chips? Thanks again for the efforts you put in these!

Thank you! let me know how it comes out!! the red salsa i am talking about for me its for street tacos. It doesnt have substance like the salsa you find for chips but you can eat it with chips as well.
