    I think this may be my next big toy. I’ve had my boosted longboard for the last 5 ish years and have loved using it to bomb hills and learn switch in the off season. Last snowboard season I hopped off the lift, (was high as hell) tried switch, and said to myself “dude, you spent all summer on switch” and settled in to a proper switch weight transfer. After 12 years I feel I’m riding my best now (helps that I don’t have to “save myself” for college sports anymore). Summer always bums me out. I never see enough snow in the winter, despite living 3hrs from the Rockies (global warming has fucked the last few seasons). But I’m starting to enjoy longboarding almost as much as snowboarding. I think freeboarding is the next most obvious step. Appreciate your freeboard videos. Definitely convincing me, haha

    This comment is great, and I'm so glad the videos helped you discover these sports! I think you'll inevitably love the Summerboard but I would highly recommend learning to Freebord first if you have hills nearby! That way when it feels awkward learning you wont have spent as much, then once youve learnt the Summerboard will be 100x more fun. Let me know how it goes! 🤙

    Wow, you will wear out a set of wheels on a Freebord in a few days? What kind of wheels were they? I've gone hundreds of miles on Da Blues without having to change them. I like when they are worn down quite a bit because it gives me more rocker.

  • @easy_riders
    @easy_riders2 күн бұрын

    @@CleoandCoco yeah my Dablues have lasted a long time too, but I guess it's comparing the wrong thing. If I was riding my dablues regularly for 20 mile runs (daily, which is what Ive done on the SBX for almost 2 weeks) I expect they would wear down just as quickly. I'll be testing the DaBlues on the SBX as soon as I have a fresh set 👌

    Thanks for promoting “used” equipment as an alternative that supports the local community. There’s an endemic of aspirational purchasing in all PEV sectors, which results in a glut of barely-used vehicles that is suppressing the overall adoption and growth rates of alternative transportation products. Fight the hype.

  • @Master0wl

    It's not waterproof so I don't ride mine when it's raining. But when the road is a little bit wet, if you don't ride in a puddle it's OK. Just keep it dry after riding.

  • @easy_riders
    @easy_riders8 күн бұрын

    I guess I'm trying to ride it how I would have if I'd paid for it. I doubt the warranty covers water damage. You can ride it in the rain but you need to cover the motherboard in some sort of waterproofing layer (Stella mentioned she does this). However, this might also void the warranty and so Im hesitant to make a video about it. 👌

I've only ridden it twice, but I see good progress each time, I'm starting to get familiar with the board, trying to control acceleration (and deceleration) and practicing at low speed it's a lot harder to get balance. I mean I haven't experienced a single problem that I found on the V1 and I've ridden it nearly 20 miles per day for the last week. I've thouroughly enjoyed every ride so far. At this point I think the only critisism you could make on the SBX is the price. The V2 hasn't cut out or locked wheels once, they've solved the V1 problems.
