Hate the name. It’s just immediately brings negativity to it cuz it’s beyond obvious it’s not “snowboarding on concrete” which is just skateboarding The name has to go. & if you think it’s “controversial” so it brings “attention” it brings nothing but negative attention & makes actual skaters & snowboarders resentful immediately This is just speed boarding. But cuz you guys don’t want to call it long boarding (cuz that’s what it is) cuz you’re insecure, you’ve made up a even worse name for it It’s either long boarding or speed boarding. Concrete snowboarding like Jesus cmon smh 🤦‍♂️. Couldn’t make up a dummer name

Skateboards don't behave even remotely as close to snowboarding as freebords do. Take a decent freeborder and a decent skater for their first time snowboarding and I gurantee the freeborder will shred waay more than the skater. (Because they'll have knowledge on how to avoid catching the edge, muscle memory built from freebording, ect) It's not a diss on skating either, skateboards are rad but you're straight up lying if you say they behave structurally like snowboards (in the way freebords do).

Great video! I look forward to hearing how your first snowboarding experience goes. I think you will learn it much quicker than average. I bet within a few hours you'll be catching decent air and maybe even land a 360 by the end of the day! I used to snowboard lots but haven't gone in 15 years. But I feel that I could probably pick back up where I left off because I've been Freebording. The biggest challenge would be the muscle conditioning.

What events will you be going to this year? Hopefully I can make it to at least one of them! It'll all depend on when and where you're going since I myself will probably be going to basic training for the Air National Guard shortly after April. :)

It sucks how much the Insta360 model cameras cost because I do want to try and record some of my Freebord footage. Hopefully I'll find some other camera models like GoPro or something that is a bit easier for me to get because I'm not sure how long I'll be willing to make videos about the sport for since I hate video editing. 😅

Yeah video editing is tedious which is why I usually just use my raw clips and film with my iPhone even though I have an insta 360

how do you break though? Normally you’d do a powerslide on a normal board. Looks so fun though!

You can do carves to cut speed or long drifts (a bit like powerslides) which you can stop with. It's a lot of fun!
