Your 360 looked great :) good think on snowboarding, you can fail more thinks and dont get hurt to much. if you to it with a freeboard and concrete, the risk of injuriy is quit higher :)

    I have owned one and really didn't like the inconsistency of the centre wheels. They had a tendency to lock a bit on me at random. So I would be transitioning edge to edge fine then all of a sudden it's like it would stick half way through the transition. I got chucked at 18mph due to this. Not fun. Freeboards look more interesting to me now, less mechanical components to go wrong

    @@easy_riders just watched that video- such amazing progression! You had some cojones to do that 360 off the 6 steps! I won't do it beyond a curb, lol. Have you had any big whiteouts? I broke my hand early on but wrist guards have protected me since then. Clearly you are passionate about this! Do you have to travel far to ride with people like Quentin? I love the sport but I'm just in a different stage of my life where I can't be as committed- 44 in a month, married and 3 kids and I can't afford to get injured. Plus there's no one else to ride with. But I do ride by myself, mainly downhill. With the scarcity of parts I'm reluctant to do much flatground street as I already cracked a baseplate pretty easily on a g3.

This is inspiring I want to get a board, I know I can learn to ride it an, hopefully get my brother to ride it… and give him some confidence to finally come ride the mountain with me. Its incredible that you got this good this fast, but I'm guessing you cant really ride on the edges of freeboards, can you? A very important skill in snowboarding is to ride on them, it's kinda like just going straight while carving, and you never mentioned it in the videos. I'm guessing you just can't really do that on freeboards, so you didn't really care about it. Anyways, next time you go snowboarding try to do it, you basically just tilt up your board and ride with it while carving at a slight angle (or really large if ur really good at it), your snowboard should leave a straight mark edge, like if a knife was cutting through the snow with how good u alredy are, this'll take no time to learn EDIT: Also, you're also counter rotating (bad form). Technically the proper form is to just stay in line with the snowboard, and start the turns by putting your weight on different parts of your front foot. It works for casual riding and having fun easily tho. Proper technique is something like: Heel side --> put all weight on front foot --> going straight --> weight on your front toes --> toe side. If you don't do this riding straight isn't really possible, but it should be an easy correction

  • @easy_riders

    @easy_riders

    4 ай бұрын

    Yeah you can in the sense of taking long lines on your heel or toeside. However my Freebord riding tends to be in urban spots (narrow roads, with cars) so theres never the opportunity to take long periods on one edge (if you do you tend to turn one way, rather than go straight). I guess this related to what I say during the black run (that the slope is so wide ect). Much appreciate the detailed riding tips/detailed comment, I'll work on this stuff on my next trip. 🤙

  • @erixccjc2143

    @erixccjc2143

    4 ай бұрын

    @@easy_riders It's not really about taking long lines, the duration can be pretty short, it's about not "drifting" as much and turning on the actual edge of the board. I swear this is like night and day and feels amazing When you get passed by someone at mach 10 on a snowboard, this is what they're doing, riding on the edge (or straight if they can lol) the whole time, no drifting Also, you're way better at switch than I am, and I can't do 360's either lmao. The freeboard did you really well. My biggest accomplishment on my first 3 days was not eating shit every 2 minutes lol
