Thanks Carol! I love that there are so many possible placements of colors & low volumes that give such different looks to this block. It’s called a sleeve press and was designed ages ago by the garment industry as a pressing aid for long sleeve seams. I’ve had one for over 50 years that I made by cutting a dowel in half. Nancy Zieman is the one who suggested this cost saving homemade version in one of her videos. It’s fun to see young people discover new uses for these tools! As a side note, the reason seams are pressed to one side in quilting is for durability and longevity. It weakens the seam to press it open because it makes it more vulnerable to the stresses caused by use. The true functional purpose of quilting the layers of a quilt is to strengthen the joined pieces of the quilt top by binding it to the added layers. Uniform stitching over the entire area of the quilt serves to better bear the stress on the seams during use. When seams pop, it’s always the ones that were pressed open during construction that will go first.

I WONT BE TRYING AGAIN TO SEE WHAT THAT IS ALL ABOUT... I GUESS I WILL JUST HAVE TO WORK/STRUGGLE WITH WHAT I KNOW BEST AN THAT VERY LITTLE.... Sorry you are having problems. The new calculators will open in a pop-up window. Your anti virus software may be preventing that. Look at the anti virus settings and find where it says "Allow Pop-ups". That might help.

The instructions are wonderfully, but there is a technical problem. I right-clicked on the calculator pop-up window after it had calculated, but there was not option to print. So, I went to the menu bar and clicked the File>Print...and it wanted to print 12 copies of the same page of calculations; the same thing happened when I did a Ctrl+P. I can choose to print only 1 copy by printing just the first page, but , FYI, maybe this shouldn't be happening???? I am using a Windows machine.
@CarolThelenАй бұрын
I am using a windows machine as well. I'm not sure why there isn't an option to print when you right click. I tried the Google Chrome browser and it works perfectly both the right click and it only wants to print one page. This is beyond my understanding but at least you were able to find a work around. Thanks for hanging in there.
