Absolutely stunning quilt. I’ve had trouble with ruffling in the past. I’ve become a big fan of starching. I usually prep my fabrics and starch before I cut, it helps to make it a little more stable and reduces stretching. It’s not perfect but it helps.

I found the section on how to lay out the pieces on the die very useful especially how to check coverage and then removing the cut pieces very very useful. A methodical approach is the way to get success. The last section on piecing tips was also very helpful so thank you once again for your detailed video. I could do with one on the ;log cabin die . I've bought it and cut some pieces out but I'm undecided whether it's one I should keep long term or not .

I'm so glad the video was helpful to you! Did you make a log cabin test block? I find that answers my question pretty fast! I had the log cabin block and loved it. Our guild used it for part of a donation quilt and the blocks came out perfectly. I was downsizing so I sold mine. Sometimes I wish I still had it. I wouldn't be in a hurry to part with it until you are satisfied you will not use it. In the meantime, enjoy it! Thanks for watching.

I do love that blue fabric!! I made several pineapple blocks way way back in the “olden days” - have no clue how I did them other than they are machine pieced. Just located them and I used a fabulous red and an off white/snow. Just looked at them and I’m amazed at how well they look, but now I have my sweet Accuquilt machines that can cut so much more accurately and a whole lot faster!😄😄😄. Maybe if I can locate more of the background fabric (I’ve used Kona Snow for many years so!) I can make more red blocks with a different but same hue red😄😄

That would be awesome! I made a red and white Winding Ways quilt with the AccuQuilt die. It was beautiful and my brother has it now. I am planning a blue and white quilt but don't know the pattern yet. Good luck with your Pineapple!

That's right. When I first started with AccuQuilt I used the smallest machine for many years because you can do so much with that little machine. I bought it just for HST. Over the years I have added a few more dies and a larger machine. Thanks so much for watching!

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I have had this pineapple die for 2 years and have made multiple test blocks that ALWAYS came out with ruffles. Never flat. I will give this a try and hopefully be successful in finally making a whole quilt. Appreciate your teaching methods. I’ve learned a lot of techniques and how to organize for a less stressful experience with piecing from watching your videos.
