Thank you so much for this series! I have an Accuquilt GO cutter and it came bundled with the 8 inch qube and 2 1/2 inch strip die. I also have purchased several BoB dies. Your explanations are so easy to understand. I am looking forward to more in this series. I have watched your pattern videos in the past because you included directions for both rotary and Accuquilt cutting.

Right off at the beginning when you were showing the finished size of a square related to the cut size - way back in the olden days when I started in 1979 we always talked about the finished sizes of pieces so I still think this way but I know with the advent of machine piecing this can be really confusing, so I was so happy to hear you mention that a quilter knows to ask if nit sure whether the said size is finished or cut! In hand piecing it wasn’t necessary to have that /4” seam even talked about. Some of us (like me) would draw that 1/4” cutting line as I do have a weird eye situation (crossed eye) that causes me to not have very good depth perception. So I really need that drawn line. Your explanations are always very clear and help us/remind us about things we need to do. Thanks so much!

Thanks for the great comments! I do a lot of hand piecing and I always draw the 1/4" line. I don't trust myself to stitch a straight line without it! Thanks for watching.

Great informative video, I’m one of those people who loves cutting my fabric up blocks. Rotary cutter that I use is the same as yours and store my used blades the same as well. I purchased a blade sharpening, I’ve yet to use it to see the results. Thanks Carol for sharing ball those titbits that involve quilting. 👍❤️😊

I have had my Accuquilt for about 6 months. You gave very good information. I was wondering what would be the best qube to get next, you answered my question! I can't believe I did not get the Accuquilt before. It sure makes it easy to cut out quilts. AND you make it even easier! Thank you for all you do for us. You are appreciated!

I have the AccuQuilt go electric, angle, corners and 12 inch cube sets and 2.5 strip die. I have never used them yet, Carol what is the most used common die sets that I need to purchase? Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

For sure it would be the 8" Mix and Match then the 6" Mix and match. You might also want to add the companion Corners and Angles for both sizes. I use these sets all the time because the sizes are so common. Here is a link to the 8" Mix and Match. - shrsl.com/3vgoy Thanks for watching. I think you will love your Accuquilt. When I first got mine, I had to keep reminind myself that I actually had it!

Hello….i noticed in videos you press open your seams instead of pressing to the side to nest the seams. May I ask why you press your seams open? And any secrets to get a scant quarter inch? Thanks 😊

I started pressing open (mostly) about a year ago. Some advantages are that you can see the points as you stitch pieces together which prevents the points being cut off. I have evolved recently into a mixture of pressing open and pressing to one side. I am working on a pineapple quilt now that has lots of small pieces. Pressing these seams open with take considerable time so I am pressing the seams to one side. So really it is a personal thing. I suggest trying one way or the other and see what works fo you. For scant 1/4" I found this short video describing it very well - kzread.info/dash/bejne/eIqDpdhwkdK3k9Y.htmlsi=AxkOTWN2C4zHIrlU Thanks for watching.
