This doors suck azz! I have two of them, and one is barely used and they have creaked 3 months after install. Lubed 100 times nothing!
Thanks man
Glad my video helped.
Thanks for showing this. I have a 36ftx18ft kidney shape pool that is 25,000 gallon pool. It would cost too much for me to clean myself.
Bubbles up or down
Bubbles down and thanks for watching.

Anybody else's spare not releasing from the wire? I'm trying to fish it out it won't budge
Nissan Altima 2005 👍
The design weakness seems to be the plastic flange bushings that wear and crack over time. On our 20-year-old door, the bushings on the top hinge deteriorated and the misalignment caused the bottom of the door to bind. My first thought was to just replace the bushings. The size is 0.325" OD, with 3/16" a pin hole. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find a stainless part with an outside diameter that precisely matches the size of the plastic ones. As others have mentioned, a free replacement hinge rail can be obtained by calling the customer service number (have door serial number handy). They asked me to provide photos of the door and purchase receipt. If you don't have an old receipt (who does), then a bill or document that proves residence prior to the time the door was made will suffice. Andersen could save a lot in warranty parts if they would replace those plastic bushings with stainless steel, as that is the only part that wears out.
I'm having the same issue with my 1996 nissan pathfinder!
My problem turned out to be a frayed wire that disconnected from the Speed Sensor harness… Good luck!
Terrible design, trunk is less trouble for customers and manufacturers this seems more difficult to design and implement
“Anderson Window & Door” Does come with a lifetime warranty on parts, I had the same problem issue with The Hinges on My 10-year-old door, Anderson Storm Door, that’s how I found out. That info is probably too late for you, but anyone watching this now might find it helpful. After giving them the information on the sticker inside the door frame & sent a New Complete Hinge/Z-Bar Setup for my Make-Model All w/ NO CHARGE or Shipping! Thanks for the Install Help, Those instructions were Not Included, lol … Hope the warranty Information helps someone…🤷🏼♂️
Thank you. Very useful information 👌
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching!
It’ll save you a ton of stress if you buy a re pin kit for fixing connectors the right way you don’t need to solder in tight spots. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the information 👍
Very helpful. Thanks bunches
You’re welcome, and thanks for watching!
Thank you sir
You’re welcome 👍
Thanks
You’re welcome 👍
Will do the cleaning part as stated. Had a “door professional” recommend using household furniture spray wax on tracks.
Silicone spray seems to work best. Good luck 👍
and i thought i didn't have a spare tire

This is a older malibu im just wondering what year this is? Mine is a 2010 and im wondering is it a different location on mine. So much hassel these malibu's are because im used to my cars having fuel filter on side under driver doors or around that area. Much easier to change out.. But let me tell you even the oil filter omg that was almost impossible to do its ridiculous to get to. This is why my heart is stuck with classics, so much easier to work on 😊
I believe the fuel filter on your 2010 Malibu is inside of the gas tank. Just another stupid location the engineers put parts to make them inaccessible.
Thanks for watching!
The Malibu in my video is a 2001.
@@beachtroll8344 thank you so much. You did a great video and very well explained too but where is the location of a 2010? If you may know more or less and can tell me please it would help me a great deal.
@@beachtroll8344 sorry just seen this before i replied. So the fuel pump and filter is together in the tank? Or is it just one piece? Because i was told the pump is in the tank. The filter for a 2010 looks just like the basic filters like what you used. Its so confusing wish they had just stuck to normal set up . thank you
Great video thank you. One note to your subscribers. The Mrs. called the manufacturer regarding the Z-bar to purchase. They told her the z bar on Anderson's doors comes with a lifetime warranty. They sent us the Z-bar free of charge.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks bro
Glad my video helped
Mine started banging just after putting a pair of tennis shoes in there without adding a large beach towel to soften the impact
You left out the top and bottom strips
It actually worked for me. Thank YOU.
Thanks for watching!
And the rotor is warped.
Well now my parking break has not engaged for years. I need to take a look. Repair shop told me it was to costly to take it apart to fix so I never investigated more. Thanks!
Good luck!
Just to let you know that the 4000 door is a lifetime warranty I just got my part today
I changed my fuel pump on my 2003 Nissan bluebird syphy and from that time the fuel gadage stop reading correctly I did this test and it worked my cluster is good but the fuel gadage and the speedometer is still not working after putting in a new speed sensor
i'm trying to replace spark plugs in a 2005 toyota camry. the magnet won't let go. any suggestions?
another bright idea by our great engineers at Chrysler how can anyone be so stupid to make it so difficult to access spare. Do any of these designers even consider their design another good reason not to buy this car!!!!!
Yep, a totally insane design. Especially when Chrysler knows that the owners of these vans have children as passengers. They just don’t care.
Well, there goes my eyebrows. You could have said something before I lit my cigarette. Geeze dude
Take the whole door down and attach the zip bar with door off then put up the door and screw it in
Whats the name of that tube you replaced? I cant seem to find one anywhere online.
I bought it from Amazon back in 2018. GM Genuine Parts 24508186 Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Tube , Black
Hi did you have to do an idle learn procedure cuase my chevy corsica 1994 3.1l v6 book says i have too.
I made this video a few years back. From what I remember, I didn’t do an idle procedure…. See below, hope this helps! 👇👇 GM IDLE RELEARN PROCEDURE AFTER THE REPLACEMENT OF THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY (ETB), THE VEHICLE ON-BOARD COMPUTER MUST RELEARN THE NEW THROTTLE PLATE IDLE POSITION. IMPORTANT After the replacement of the electronic throttle body, the engine idle speed may fluctuate, cause the engine to stall or even turn on the check engine light. IDLE LEARN Perform the following relearn procedure for the on-board computer to adjust to the new idle position on the electronic throttle body. 1. Start and run the engine in PARK for 3 minutes. 2. Turn the engine OFF for a minimum of 60 seconds. 3. Start the engine and run for another 3 minutes. 4. Engine should idle normally after 3 minutes. After having performed the relearn procedure and the engine still does not run within normal idle speed, it will be necessary to drive the vehicle above 45 mph (70 Km/h) including several decelerations. Also ensure that after driving the vehicle, let the engine idle for a minimum of 5 minutes. If the engine has returned to normal idle speed, the relearn procedure is completed. If the idle speed is still erratic or incorrect, restart idle relearn procedure.
@@beachtroll8344 oh thank you very much!!!
Where did you plug it in though!
DUDE!!!!! Thanks now I know to fix my storm door ....nice !!you rock 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Glad my video helped, and thanks for watching!
Thank you for the tip! We’ve been talking about replacing the whole door. Even 5 years later this is helping us out!
Im glad my video helped!
My daughter's 06 nissan altimas fuel Hague doesn't work. I'm going to try this and see if the cluster is the issue. Already checked the relay and changed the fuel pump.
Thank you for viewers' comments about lifetime warranty. I just called Anderson Customer Service, I was told that the part is covered under lifetime warrany, and they are shipping it for free. So happy about that! No need to replace the door. And with this video, we will be able to replace the hinges ourselves. Thank you for this video and the viewers 🤩.
Glad my video helped and thank you for commenting!
Thank you
You’re welcome, glad my video helped!
Hi, old video, but hoping someone on here can answer my question, having same issue with the broken hinge, my question is how do I know what door model I have? I do have have the sticker with serial number, will that help identify?
Hi, when you contact Andersen give them the serial # and they will ship z-bar that corresponds to your door. Good luck with your repair!
nice vid but, the replacement hinge strip has the individual hinges spaced differently which make this job much more aggravating.
100% THIS. I just installed my second replacement Z-Bar (it also had different hinge spacing) and it was a MAJOR pain in the ass lining the hinges up to make sure the door closed properly / hit the striker plate. All I have left is that damn strip on the outside but that can wait until another day.
I always think of the money I saved by fixing something myself. It gets me through my aggravation lol.
When I use one of those I always put a couple of the lug nuts on the bolts so that when it pops off it doesn't go flying
Smart move by you 😂… I didn’t expect the rotor to fly off like that!
Shot g hit a like ya saved me a few bucks top man
Glad my video helped!
thank you for the video.

Wish you had seen my video before you bought yours… Unfortunately these trimmers have a lot of problems…If you still have your receipt, return it… I bought an Echo trimmer and haven’t had one problem. Good luck, and thanks for watching!
