i bookmarked this video last christmas so i could fix my mom's storm door. when i type [y][o][u][↓][ENTER] into chrome, i am immediately transported to beachtroll's magical stoop, where i am graciously welcomed with the sweet sound of "hey thanks for stoppin' by my channel, my name is bistroll..." I could easily remedy this, but don't care to. you're welcome, beachtoll. hope we can go for the youtube gold together. a view a day keeps the beachtrolls at bay.

I have the same door but the lock don’t slide up or down with the knob unless I slide it with something any suggestions

the lever(slider) popped out of the door, is it fixable?

What do you do if the lock bar is stuck and won't release?

For me the handle doesn’t go up and vertical at all. It has been a simple task for past so many years... but this year at the onset of summer I had a tough time swapping out the glass to mesh... now I managed to take the mesh door out but handle dropped back before I could insert the glass door, and us refusing to turn up and vertical. What can I do?

Just had the same issue. Worked well when I first installed it, now this season the handle would not budge to the up postion. I removed the lock mechanism and sprayed with a dry lubricant, worked it a few times and now it's smooth as silk.!

All the locking knobs on the black plastic slider broke off from the previous owners apparent mistreatment; is there any way to replace the slider strip short of replacing the whole door frame?

I would try contacting Andersen directly and ask if they carry those specific replacement parts.

Someone threw a large pumpkin at my glass door and broke 3 of the 4 knobs on the black plastic. Were you able to get replacement parts or did you have to replace the whole door frame?

It's not hard...I just measured and used a hack saw to cut the Z-bar...Good luck!

I notice that you were not able to push down the door handle at first to secure the storm insert and then you did something and you were able to push down the door handle to secure the storm insert. We try to push down the door handle and we are not able to do that even though we push the storm insert into the door frame. What can we do to be able to push down the door handle?

The glass pane was not fully inserted onto the “knobs” on the door when I first tried to push the door handle down....I just applied pressure to the glass to keep it in place and was able to lower the handle....Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

@@beachtroll8344 I applied pressure and that did not help. However, your video did help us. I noticed that you had your door open. (Ours was shut.) When I opened the door and inserted the glass, I had no problem. (I would be curious to know if you tried it with the door shut, if you would be successful.) Anyway, thank you for your help. I must have tried 40 or 50 times or more to put the glass in and lower the handle and it did not work.

My handle wont go up. Every change, I have to take it all apart.
