Thank you! You just saved me $250 the mechanic was wanting to charge me for a new regulator...before they even got into the car door to see what it was! Motor works just fine, the window just went sideways like yours. Crooks!

Hay man, thanks for video. You actually show the problem most videos don't and jump into replacing the regulator. My issue is when the window goes up it goes off track on a 96 Chev K1500. It happens on the way down too. More annoying on the way up though 😁 Thanks again!

Same thing with my 2003 Toyota Camry. Thanks for the video. I'm not a mechanically inclined gal, so probably won't attempt this myself. But at least I can prevent a mechanic from ripping me off, when I tell him about this video. Thanks Mucho!

Just like that!! Clip came lose from bolt and washer. Excellent video tutorial. Have a friend who has this same problem. Was concerned a new regulator would be needed to fix this.

very informative, very helpful. I had one difference with there being another pair of bolts in the center beneath/behind where all the window switches are [they were very annoying] but once i got those everything was exactly as the vid showed. I had a slightly different problem with the glass being slightly off-track and we got it re-aligned and it's good to go now. just saved me 100+ bucks. Kudos

Awesome video. Although my situation is that the window fell completely off the tracks and is now trapped beneath them. I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to fix it.

You might have to take a couple of things apart to get the window free... Good luck!

@@beachtroll8344 Hey dude. I'm back. I ended up replacing that power regular with the bar and pulleys. Your setup looks similar to mine. It will go down but it's squeaking/rubbing really hard on the way up. When I press up on the power window, it seems like it's tilting forward and stopping. I see lots of play in the assembly but it's all tightened down. Before I put it all back together, I tried shifting the window when it's loose on the tracks and then tightening it when it's pressed to the back side of the track and then tried with it all the way forward. Doesn't seem to make a difference. All I can think of it's the rubber that's causing the friction so bad it's stopping the movement. The sucker is stuck all the way down as of tonight, so tomorrow I'm going to have to take that side panel off again. Going to look at that rubber on the side that you pointed out, to see if it might be getting stuck behind the window. Definitely some hard resistance somewhere. I've lubed it up with silicon with no real improvement. If I can figure out what it is, I'll try to remember to comment again and let you know what it was. Hopefully it will help you and others.

First, great video! To, "beachtroll" or anyone else (below) who may know the answer. Having same problem. Automatic window raising but crooked. I checked and the glass is locked in place at bottom. Should I loosen the fasteners where the bottom of window is screwed in place, and merely slide the entire window to the left a bit?

I need to know how u put a window back on track on a 1999 hounda tiburon

You are a great teacher. My driver side window started making that awful sound, the auto-close is not working either. (Where ya click ‘Up’ once and it rolls up itself) It is especially loud when it reaches the last few mm, rolling it up before window is shut. I live off Chesapeake Bay and we have the most geese in the world, and they love crapping on my car, plus a giant cedar tree is 20’ away. The day it made that noise there was crap and wet tree litter on windowand Im sure some went down the inside. I did my best to clean it from outside, I sprayed ‘goo gone’ at front of window, and it seemed to be better for a few days. Im guessing the issue is not a mechanical malfunction. I assume (hope) it is just dirty. I am wanting to do the job myself, what do you suggest I do nxt? Thanks 2012 Mazda cx7 Liked n subbed

I would take off the inside of the door panel and see if the goose crap &/or tree debris are sticking up the window mechanics....If you find that's what is causing the problem, after you clean it down, use W-D40 and spray it down well...Good luck!

Vehicles are pretty much the same when it comes to a window being off its track. If you’re comfortable you can fix it yourself or you can bring it to any reputable mechanic and they’ll do the repair...Thanks for watching & good luck!!

YOU SHOULD HAVE ALSO LUBRICATED ALL THE REGULATOR CHANNELS SINCE U WHERE THERE ALREADY, THE CHANNELS ARE VERY DRY AND RUSTY!!

So... After watching this video, it looks like it would be easier (and cheaper) to just replace the entire door.

My window fell down into the door.

Sorry to hear that...you would have to take off the interior door panel to fix it.... or you could bring it to a mechanic you trust.... Good luck!

THOSE CLIPS ARE FAULTY AND BADLY MADE, THOSE CLIPS HAVE A GAP AT THE BOTTOM AND IN A MATTER SHORT TIME YOU WILL GET A CROOCKED WINDOW AGAIN
