In this video I show how to change the screen panel to the glass panel on an Andersen 3000 storm door. It takes less than 10 minutes to switch the panels. Get ready for winter and put the glass panel in.

turn the handle up pointing at the sky, this makes extra clearance for the insertion of the glass or the screen.
I'm trying to do the opposite(installing the screen) and it's next to impossible. The frame of the screen has to be stretched to fit flush so the retaining clips will fit on, but it doesn't want to work.

Hi. We just bought an Anderson 3000 and are having the hardest time putting in the top and bottom retainer strip. Is there a trick?

Hi, When you’re putting the retainer strip on, start at the top of the door and gently push the inner side so it’s flush against the glass or screen frame, then push the outer edge of the retainer clip until you hear a “click”.....Slowly work your way downward (about 4 inches at a time)....Then repeat for the other side....Good luck!

Yeah there's a trick. Don't buy these piece of shit doors. These retainer clips are the dumbest thing I've seen since the last election.
You left out the top and bottom strips
these are the OLD style retaining strip that is no longer used. the new ones are a POS....
Great video.... Anderson doors though, what a failure of design. The clips that hold the glass/screen in are brittle and brake easily - even when fully following the instructions of how to remove and re-insert them. Not ever buying another door like this and I don't recommend them..
