There’s still plenty to learn and it keeps me focused, we all need something to stimulate the brain as we get older.
Anyway I hope you find something of interest on the channel and perhaps it helps you in some way, that’s my aim.

Hey there I recently bought a canon powershot A620 from mercari, that needs repair. I put in batteries and the screen is just white, like in your video. Do you think it’s the same problem and solution? As in your video, because I really wanna fix, but in my location their is no repair shops that fix cameras especially old ones
It could be the flex cable to the screen but I don't know that model and considering it's spec may not be worth spending too much on. Then there's the question of is the cable available ? If you can get the flex cable and it's cheap enough then maybe you could take the camera apart and check for breaks in the cabe before you buy the replacement. Hope this helps and many thanks.
@@DARTraderMediaProductions will open the camera up tmr and see. Thank you and appreciate your reply. Have a great night 🙏🏽
@@lamelalo6444 Take care when opening and note position of screws etc. I usually take a photo using my phone as I disassemble so I know where everything goes.
Thanks for the, fixed mine following your step by step guide, a life saver would never have done this without the video.
Brilliant stuff, pleased the video was of help and many thanks.
Fantastic! I just sent my fluke 12 off for repairs and calibration. Looks like i could have sorted the lcd display myself, with your help. Well done sir!
They are worth saving, first got mine when I started my repair business and although I'm now retired still have a use for it. Many thanks for your great comment.
Thanks you
Pleased the video was of help and many thanks.
Thank You Sir, for a concise and accurate repair procedure. My beloved Fluke 12 is once again readable. My screen was about 2/3 dead, I must have ordered my replacement screen from the same place in China where you got yours! Again, thank you!
That's great to hear, pleased the video helped you and many thanks.
You saved my remote. It works perfectly thx!
You're most welcome, pleased the video helped you and many thanks.
Great video , job done in a few short minutes
That's great to hear, pleased the video was of help and many thanks.
Worked like a charm, thank you
Great to hear the video was of help and many thanks.
Sadly, mine is going to go in the trash. I can buy an equivalent for less than the repair.
That's a shame, I take it you don't fancy having ago at the repair yourself but if you did it would be worth doing depending on what equipment you have. I bought a capacitor kit from Amazon for £11.99 and that worked out at 2p per capacitor and I had to change 22 from memory. If paying a service centre to do the repair then yes you may as well just buy a working replacement off eBay, the place is full of them. Many thanks for your comment.
@@DARTraderMediaProductions I've got the Wave Stereo, not the clock radio. It's a wonderful unit which after 25 years has developed the hum. Repair shop is my only option. Going to hurt to toss it.
@@bluelithium9808 That's sad but sometimes that's just the way it is, harder when you've had something for a long time.
Thank you so much! What else can you teach us?
Pleased the video was of help, who knows what you might learn from this channel. 😂Many thanks.
I've had fun looking through your videos!
@@ZCM- Great to hear and many thanks.
Cheers for this. I was struggling to get my old hose out. Seems both ends were bonded on my Vax Blade 4, but you gave the confidence to just rip it out. Now just need to somehow clean all the old gunk out 😂
Pleased the video has helped you. Some early ones are not bonded but it seems the later models are. The cleaning is not fun that's for sure. Many thanks for you comment and good luck.
Thank you so much for uploading this helpful video. very informative. I have two of these hoovers, bought the same time about 2 years ago, but the heads are not working. partially Pulled them up today and found the same cables (the ones you mentioned here) broken close to the plug. would it be possible for you to help me with the gauge of the wire you used please. thank you very much for your time?
The cable I used was from a old figure of eight mains lead, the type you plug into a radio etc. It was slightly thicker than the original but that's for the better really and was multi-strand copper so flexible enough. Just strip the outer covering off to reveal the two inner cables, blue / brown and use suitable lengths to make up new leads. Hope this helps and many thanks.
A hero💪
Thank you, great to hear the video helped you.
Thank you so much omg
You're most welcome, pleased the video was of help and many thanks.
Nope its very difficult task for me I cant fix it nice watching. Regards
I must admit it's not the easiest job that's for sure. I always think what's the worse that can happen, it's no good as it is so may as well have a go. I don't think it would be economical to take it to a repair shop so may as well give it a go. Many thanks for your great comment.

Mustve been 30+ times on Motorbike & with Mom and Dad then Train since 2013. Im 60 now and get HIRAETH. So many places to visit while there too, Criccieth, Portmeirion, Harlech, Beddgelert, Llanberis, Snowdon etc etc ive wslked up the local small mountain ⛰ between Morpha Bychan & Porthmadog probably 4 times too. Not been since 2021 for several reasons, hope to go in 2025. Luckilly loads to see on KZread
It sure is a great place, we visit three to four times a year. We've just come back from a four day break and go back again in September for eleven days. May try to fit another week in after that before the season ends. We can't walk as much as used to as my wife has mobility problems and I'm 62 in June and have back problems but we still manage to get about and rest the following day. Many thanks for your great comment and hope you manage to visit the area again soon.
Same problem on my cmx
Hope you sort it without any drama and may thanks.

This is a fantastic explanation!! I fixed mine by following it. Thank you!
That's great to hear, so pleased the video helped you and many thanks for your great comment.
this is great video thanks i have a 2010 (mk2.5) ford focus with 53k and i was under it doing my service today and after changing my oil i glanced up and noticed the mesh around the flexi pipe is only held on by a couple of threads but weirdly my exhaust isn't blowing or leaking, anyways i am gob smacked after owning the mk1 ford focus and changing the flexi pipe and cat on that how hard it is on the mk2/mk2.5 i am not sure but on the focus the gap in there looks a lot tighter so tight i couldn't hardly fit my arms up from underneath nvm a tool so im considering paying the £10 for a manifold gasket and pulling the manifold cat and flexi pipe out as one then measuring and cutting out of the car, from what i have found on youtube in america the 2012-2018 fords have a similar design to this and thats what they all have to do, to be fair this video is great for info too because im not finding non on youtube for the flexi pipe over ere in UK which apparently its very common failure
Hope it works out for you, I know the subframe has to be dropped on the C-Max in order to get the cat out and that's why I did it on the car. It's a real pain of a job to be honest. Good luck and many thanks for your great comment.
@@DARTraderMediaProductions well i started at 8 am this morning and its now 00:05 the next day and i still have a couple of bits to finish, i got a similar flexi off ebay £65 and it was horrendous its the worse job i have done on a car in 15 year working on them u cant get in with tools like you did so manifold and job lot has to come off only thing is its either sub frame off or put the engine on a support beam both mounts off and pull the engine as far forward and low as it will let you, worst part is the part i got yeah it fits but not by much i reckon i got 10 mil pipe into the old pipe there is a lot less to play with on the mk2 focus also instead of the new pipe going over the old it had to go into it and the clamp would not fit i had to grind it down, im hoping tomorrow when i finally get to start it it aint blowing lol, ford i now hate fords i'm never buying another something so simple as a flexi pipe has been a god damn nightmare, anyways just thought i would update how bad it is on the mk2.5 ford focus.
@@Pontelad I may have had a little more room than you but to be honest if I hadn't got a worn cutting off disc I would not have had room for a new disc. I mounted it in a flexible drive using an old mandrel for something. I was shitting it I might break the disc or wear it out before I'd finished cutting. I'm done with Fords now, I once said I wouldn't buy another Ford or a black car and when I bought the C-Max I did both. I first bought a Ford Cortina Mk4 in 1981 when I was 19 and that suffered from rush on the bottom of the doors and it was only around three years old. I had a few other Fords afer that a Fiesta, and a Escort that had terminal rust. I defected to Peugeot after that and had a 406 that was rust free and I took that to over 200,000 miles trouble free. When I got the C-max I figured they must have improved, no they hadn't. The rear arms were very rusty and so was the floor behind the rear arches, engine and box was good but for a 1.6 petrol wasn't that good on fuel. I now have an Honda Civic 1.8 i-Vtec and it's been a pleasure to own it up to now and it would wipe the floor with the Ford on MPG and performance. No belt to worry about a very reliable vehicle. I'll never buy Ford again that's for sure. Anyway glad you got it sorted and hopefully it won't be blowing when it fires up. Many thanks for your comment.
Hello, could you please help, I have this VCR but today when I turn it on,it shuts down after few seconds, is it a matter of power supply?
If you mean it stops playing after a few seconds it could indicate a tape transport issue. This can be a worn pinch roller or the motor but the most likely cause could be the take-up reel isn't turning. To be honest it could be a number of things and can't really be diagnosed without seeing what it's doing. If it's a case of going back into standby after a few seconds then it might well be power supply related but without it being in front of me it's hard to tell. I would check any belts on the bottom of the deck, pinch roller and the reel idler to start with as these are a common failure.
@@DARTraderMediaProductions thanks a lot

@@DARTraderMediaProductions unfortunately i’m not as skilled or have as much patience as you but you definitely helped me realize what the problem with my camera is and i’ll make sure to visit the shop soon ! thanks for such an in depth tutorial 🤟🏼🤍
@@jaini9e It may be expensive to have repaired at the shop but they should be able to provide an estimate of the cost. Good luck and hopefully it won't be too bad.
@@DARTraderMediaProductions Hi, what specification of flex cable did you buy? How would I go about buying one for my camera - seems to be the exact same model coincidentally. If you could attach an amazon link that would be very useful as it takes less time to arrive. Thanks!
also, since you got two flex cables would it be possible to send me one, I can pay for it and shipping etc, kind of urgent as I am going on holiday in a week and would ideally like to use the camera. I have looked online for other options however they take a while to come. Royal mail is fairly cheap and I would come before the holiday giving me time to fix it. Thanks
Just about the best demo of this repair. Very clear and good camera focus. Others try but not as good and this one beats them hands down. Well done matey.

Nicely explained. Thanks. Just subscribed too.

Thanks. Before looking at the video, I removed all the screws and tried to open the back without any success. So easy after looking at your video.

Have slightly different model headphones but same problem and this solved it. Thanks!!

Wonder what all these letters and enforcement officers cost the BBC. More than they are trying to recover???.
🤣🤣 They would'nt care, they are using licence payers money to pay for it.
I’m going to try it now. Nice clear instructions, thank-you.
Your most welcome, hope you have a good result. I make this usually twice weekly and at some point intend to try something new but never seem to have the time to experiment.
Very helpful video. Saved £40 to £50 or so! Both of my cables looked like they had been cleanly severed near the plug - but just enough cable to repair (this time). I must have had a later model. The top plate came off in two parts - centre cover and light then 2 more screws to release the rest.
Pleased the video helped you, yes they probably have changed the design as ours was the first model. Many thanks for your great comment.
We were given the exact same beadmaker, however without the measuring cup. The user manual/recipe booklet states the measures in cups. Can someone please tell me the size/measure of the single cup in grams in order that i can then measure the required amount of flour.
I think from memory one cup of bread flour weighs 125 grams. Hope this helps and many thanks.
He says it on the video - 456g of flour.
Is it available in store in birmingham?
I've only ever seen them on Amazon and eBay. I purchased two from Amazon when they were cheap £350ish each. Both controllers failed just out of warranty so they are not that reliable. I fitted replacement controllers and they have been great since. Not worth the £699 that Amazon sell them for when not reduced. I would not buy again to be honest.
Fair play lad..great fix..new subscriber 😊
Great to hear the video helped you and many thanks.
Thanks for the help in fixing my Vax floor head. In fact, I did such a good job as soon as I attach the head to the wand it starts working, even before I've turned on the base unit 😂! No idea why. But at least I can use it now 🙂
I read in the comments someone else had the same issue but they had also changed the battery. Not sure whats going on there, the cause has to be in the main unit as the power to the head is controlled from there.
@@DARTraderMediaProductions I've probably broken that as well 😥Never mind. As the other person said, a quick disconnect after using it is fine, at least it's working now. And it was the exact same wire in the exact same place as in your video, so obviously a design flaw.
Pleased you managed to repair the broken wire at least, many thanks.@@RomseyUkuleleGroup

Thank you for the demonstration! I need a lie down after watching it 😂
I had a lie down after filming it.🤣🤣🤣
I did the wire fix but now the brushbar works without the power button on!As soon as I attach the top power unit. Any ideas please?
That's strange, I have no idea whats going on there. I take it it was working normally before the wire(s) broke.
I did change the battery as the lights were flashing red so thought I had short circuited the power head. And new one charged up fine.
If the LED(s) on the brush head were red it usually indicates the brush bar is jammed or possibly the motor. Too much has gone on to say what the fault might be without it being in front of me.@@user-no9xn8gp1q
Thanks. It's a fix for now so we can cope with the hose quick unplug to stop it. But seems like it should just be a wire connection issue.
Could the switch be faulty ? or maybe as you say a connection issue somewhere.@@user-no9xn8gp1q
You're a lifesaver sir!
Thank you, pleased the video helped you.
my vax hose is so short cant get end out enough to unscrew it. 2nd the terminal at end is not soldered in goes inside seems its glued in ,waiting for small drill bit to see if i can drill broken end out.. although thks for vid.
Hopefully you will sort it. I am waiting for a replacement hose to arrive as mine has split. This vacuum cleaner has been a pain in the arse to be honest. I'll not buy another, they are just too unreliable for what they are. Many thanks for your comment and hope it works out for you.
Where can I get this flex pipe?
It's all in the description.
Great video. Shame I didn’t see this before I fixed mine. I removed w a a y too much of the head. AND, I started at the top and worked down. Fearing bad joints on the handle segments. Incidentally, my neutral was broken in exact the same spot as yours. Poor design by the look of it.
To be honest I don't think I'd buy another as it's not been very reliable. The charger went first then the switch would stick and sometimes turn itself on, thought we had a ghost for a while. Then the head wiring and I've just ordered a flex pipe for the head as it's split. I've also noticed the main motor bearings whine sometimes when it's slowing down. Many thanks for your great comment.
Thank you soo much. Was ready to chuck mine so will definitely be giving this a go tomorrow.
Nothing to loose, should work out just fine. Many thanks for your great comment.
