I want to buy this bike only what I don't understand is that..when I drive it do I need to always pedal the bike? Or if I use electric i just drive without pedaling and after if I run out of battery can I use it as a normal bike?

These are a pedal assist bike meaning you always need to pedal for the motor to work. Once you run out of battery then you can still ride it like a normal bike. I have managed around 40 miles on a charge using it on the lowest setting and that gives you 10mph. The more effort you put in then the more you get out of the battery. You could just sit there and as long as the pedals are turning then the motor will pull you along but this will decrease the range to around 15 to 20 miles depending if there's any hills etc. Many thanks.

I've only ever seen them on Amazon and eBay. I purchased two from Amazon when they were cheap £350ish each. Both controllers failed just out of warranty so they are not that reliable. I fitted replacement controllers and they have been great since. Not worth the £699 that Amazon sell them for when not reduced. I would not buy again to be honest.

At the time we bought ours last year we paid £350 but the price changed daily. The cheapest price Amazon had them on at was £300 and the dearest £700+. The day after we bought ours the price continued to drop, just our luck but still a good buy at £350. They do need some small upgrades, the seats are not the best and the chains are rubbish and noisey. If I'd paid the £700 price then I would not have been too pleased but I knew the problems from the reviews on Amazon before I bought them. They are worth every penny of £350 but no more than £400. The power side of things are great and they have disc brakes that even the more expensive bikes don't have. I just checked on Amazon and they don't seem to have them on at the moment but they are available elsewhere.

Hello, official site is saying that has Shimano 7 gears. Is it 6 or 7?

Still very happy, both our bikes have been great once we made some improvements. The chains that come on these bikes are absolute rubbish, they make a lot of noise as they are cheap. We replaced them with KMC branded chains and that made all the difference, about £7 from Amazon. The other thing we did was replace the seats with sprung ones as the supplied seats are very hard on the backside. The range is very good if you use level 1 and put some effort in, I managed 40 miles before needing a recharge. If you can buy this bike when they are aroung the £350 mark as we did they are a real bargain. One other thing is they are heavy at 21KG and you won't want to carry them far. Many thanks.

@@AndrewMcGarvie I just had a look at the Q & A's on Amazon and the manufacturer states Bike weighted around 23kgs. Max weight is up to 120kgs including luggage. Hope this is some help and many thanks.

Guys do not touch this brand if 1 part fails the whole bike is most prob usless they don't have customer's service at all their email address and phone number on their main site both are fake and the brand has no issue selling their bikes faulty as there's no way of getting it fix or your money back i sold my mobility scooter to buy a swifty ebike an lasted 3 months it had 12 month warranty but how can that be if there's no help or service warranty is just a word to make the sale sound better keep well away from this brand as you can only lose money with this brand .......

I also forgot to add Bike shops wont fix this brand they refuse to touch it iv prob phoned about 20+ bike shops and emailed not one shop will help ...

Both the bikes I purchased had to have the chains replaced as they are such poor quality chains and seats were replaced for comfort. At 15 months old both of the motor controllers failed on each bike after being stored for the winter. It cost me around £70ish to repair them myself, replacing controllers and handlebar displays. Not straight forward job as you have to rewire and match up the wires form the bike and the controller. Other than the aforementioned the bikes are good if you buy them for £350ish as we did, and you are able to sort any problems that come along yourself. They are on sale with Amazon for £579.99 as of now (July 2023) for the pink one, I can’t advise anyone to touch them at that price. Would I buy again? Well that would depend on the price, £300ish yes but only if there was nothing else in that price range. As for customer service I can’t say as our failures were outside the warranty period so just got on with the repairs, engineering background came in handy though if I’m honest. You may be wise to contact trading standards if you’re having no joy with the company.
