Your nexus letters you assisted me with for Sleep Apnea & Diabetes helped propel me to 94% I just had my last claim approved, 50% Pes Planus & am 100% P&T
I would love to have the Rhinitis and OSA article links.
Hi Leah, thanks for creating these videos. Can you create a video if tinnitus, migraines and neck pain can be secondary to TMJ? Also, can you clarify if the primary VA doctor puts SCT or ICD codes in the VA medical record, can that be considered a diagnosis? Thank you in advance and keep up the great work!!!
Yes and thank you for watching
Could you answer a question about an award for 50% osa then in the same letter said they subtract 50% because about 3 different reasons that I and my vso don’t understand
I got a DBQ and IMO from Prestige trying to get my migraines secondary to tinnitus. My VA neurologist said there isn't a connection and my C&P examiner said there is no evidence that tinnitus causes migraines. When my examiner told me that I knew I wouldn't get rated.
Thank you for the opportunity. Please keep us posted on the outcome
I just got approved for 20% left and 10% right Radiculopathy of lower extremities because of this video. Thank you so much!
Excellent! Thank you for watching!
So i was denied knee pain secondary to ankle fracture that was service connected.. but the wording was different, but i think i tried to do too much at one time and it was automatically denied
I am very sorry to hear this. Thank you for watching!
Before Jp-5, there was JP-4. Fuel handlers , AFSC 631. Fuel handlers are exposed to jet fuel, diesel fuel, aviation fuel, automotive gasoline, and, last but not least, deicing fluids daily.
Thank you for the info and thank you for watching

I was denied secondary conditions of gout, kidney disease, and sleep apnea to anxiety, which I have a diagnosis for all. I was recently service connected for hypertension, gerd, and hemmroids secondary to anxiety. Can I now file a supplemental claim of gout, kidney disease, and sleep apnea to hypertension
I’m sorry to hear about your denials but happy to hear about those approvals. You might want to check with a legal professional about the appeals process

You can do a video that answers the following question regarding secondary claims. Does it matter if the secondary condition was diagnosed prior to the primary condition? I cannot find any information regarding this scenario.
Sure thing. Thank you for watching
I have OSA and A fib. Working on my OSA claim and was wondering if the 30 % rating was if I had 4 episodes a year even if I take medication to treat it or not. How can you provide evidence of your episodes?
I am not really to sure about that sir. Thank you for watching
It is because of your help I am where I am now thank you 🙏🏽
Thank you very much for the opportunity!! Big hugs to you
@@prestigeveteranmedical 🫡❤️
Thank you for the help
Thank you for watching!!
Is insomnia still a stand alone disorder for the VA because I want to claim it as a secondary to my tinnitus. I heard it was no longer a stand alone disorder for VA rating anymore
I am not to sure about that sir you may want to follow up with a VSO or an attorney to clarify
@@prestigeveteranmedical ok thank you for responding.
I’m super curious about the conditions that cause diastolic hypertension. I had that before I was released but wasn’t diagnosed with hypertension until after my release because my systolic pressure was below the guidelines.
I am sorry to hear that sir. Diastolic hypertension is still hypertension regardless of the top number
@@prestigeveteranmedical thank you for replying 🙂 I now realize that. 😞 I wish I had pushed harder for it to be taken seriously before my release. I’m Canadian and I am putting in a claim for it with VAC, but the information you have posted is really helpful despite the fact that I’m in a different country. Thank you for this!
@@carlyar5281 I am sorry to hear this sir. Thank you for watching and best of luck
The VA at Lake Nona Orlando refuses to comply with VHA Directive 1134 and assist veterans with DBQs, Nexus letters, and Medical Statements. They claim that is the job of the C&P examiner. They also violate HIPAA laws.
Have you considered contacting the patient advocate?
I heard that the VA ratera don’t put value on these nexus letter due to the doctors being from different states. Is this true?
That is not true at all and not in line with VA policy or federal law
Enjoy your videos, thank you for all the information, but I do have to add… Hooty Hoooo!!! 🫠❤️🇺🇸❤️🫠
Thanks for watching!
I would like to see a video about dog bite puncture wounds, scratches and scars reference being injured by military working dogs. Also Ft. McClellan, AL reference TERA Exposures.
Will add this to the list!
I went to the website and requested info this morning actually lol. How long for a response?
Usually it’s same day. I can double check if you want. What is your email address?
I can't find out nothing about my VA disability it cost me not to be able to work when I saw you
Great place to get this done! They helped me with a successful VA claim!! Thanks again!
Thank you for the opportunity!!
Thanks Leah 😊 My only advice is to get into Pain Management. It's a good ideal to start physical therapy, acupuncture...etc✌🏾

Sure thing I will add this to the list

Glad it was helpful. Best of luck to you
Worst pain I have ever experienced in my life!
I bet. I am sorry to hear this and thank you for watching
Former infantry. Diagnosed and medically discharged for Sinus Tarsi Syndrome L ankle, in 1994. Documented antalgic gait while in service and ever since. Obtained a Nexus letter from a Doctor to secondary connected my diagnosed Rt ankle traumatic arthritis, bilat knee arthritis, pain and instability, bilat hip osteorarthritis and lower back arthritis. Two years in and they just connected the lower back, but have denied the knees and hips twice now. I also have in service documentation on discharge of PFPS on one exam, then five days later it says, "Not currently". They have also increased my back from 10% to 20%, yet sent me a letter saying they are reducing my overall rating because the back shows improvement. Even though the same letter says my last exam showed worsening of symptoms. The VA sucks.
I am sorry to heart this sir. Best of luck to you and please keep us posted
I am 40% back. I have right ankle tendinosis along with heel pain. My left posterior knee is now acting up. Could all these...Back-right ankle/heel-left knee be associated/compensatory?
Possibly! Best of luck to you and thank you for watching
I suffer from severe knee pain. I’m svc connected for bilateral foot issues, can we connect the two?
Some veterans are connected for this. Thank you for watching
How about going the opposite ways? For people who develop ankle issues after knees are diagnosed?
It is possible! Thank you for watching
Thank you for the information Leah, always picking up tidbits from your videos. I was able to work with Prestige Veteran Medical Consulting earlier this year and I appreciate the work y'all do. Prestige Veteran Medical Consulting is top notch imho. 🙂
Thank you for the awesome feedback sir and the opportunity!
I was given a Permanent Profile for a Tibia fracture.
I am sorry to hear this. hank you for watching.
Are ‘In-Service forms’ such as Periodic Health Assessment Questionnaires and Medical Profiles very effective when it comes to Medical Documentation?
It depends on the context

I was a USAF Firefighter for 10 yrs. We used JP 4 and 5 for training at our burn pit area for years. We used AFFF to extinguish the fires. I now suffer from gastrointestinal issues and battle with colorectal cancer.
I’m so sorry to hear this sir. Best of luck to you and thank you for watching
I had a VSO file a Hypertension claim last month and a month later I had C&P for Hypertension but the day prior I called six different numbers to the VA and no one could tell me the C&P exam was for hypertension. I only found right when I sat down for the C&P exam. Is there a reason no one could tell me what the exam was for?
I’m not really sure about that sir. Have you checked with your VSO?
I will ,thank you for the quick reply.
Not really related but I had a therapy session with a psychologist back in 2021 and I disclosed that I was adopted when I was younger and had bad grades in school. From 2022-present I’ve been dealing with mentally taxing depression and anxiety that stemmed from a few in-service events. I’ve sought out mental therapy for almost three years now, have been checked in to the psych-ward, and am currently doing out-patient therapy (all in Service treatment records, along with ICD diagnosis). My question would be, am I screwed in my Mental Health claim because I disclosed my adoption during my childhood and also stated that I felt bad for a few months? Current diagnosis of MDD, GAD, and Adjustment Disorder within the past 12-months. Currently on active duty and will be utility BDD in 3-months. Thanks in advance
Hey sir I am sorry to hear this. It really just depends on the specifics there is not really a black and white answer
Toxic exposure/The PACT Act specifically PFAS created problems like thyroid, kidney, diabetes, prostate, mental issues, joint pain, arthritis, narcolepsy, dementia, alzheimers, and many other problems I've seen literature connections. Thank you for your great work.
You bet thank you for watching
Please do some videos on PFAS used by the military since the 1940's. The VA has nothing on health problems caused by PFAS while the civilian community has overwhelming evidence, movies, and documentaries. The movies "Dark Waters" and "Erin Brockovich" are just two with great evidence. The VA won't even test your blood.
Will do. Thank you for watching
30 years after my last jump both meniscus tore within months of each other from just walking.I also have arthritis in both knees. I had a desk job post army so I didn’t have any abnormal wear and tear. I wonder if I have a chance being awarded.
I am sorry to hear this sir. Best of luck to you with this and keep us posted
i just recenlty diagnose with OSA this january but previous years i will wake with clogged nose, isn't it related to rhinitis? before OSA my pulmonologist detected that i have also asthma
I’m sorry to hear this? Thank you for watching
I filed it ( was denied ), as a secondary to tinnitus and the C&P examiner said that it was less likely than not, and she also said that migraines caused tinnitus and not the other way around. I'm going to get with my VSO and she what they can do.
I’m very sorry to hear this. Thank you for watching
ACL on right knee....10% Tingling and numbness on left leg....10%
I’m sorry to hear this. Thank you for watching
Unless the VA sends you to third party for CnP and that app is over within 2m claiming no issues! I wasn’t even looked at lol
I’m sorry to hear this sir
Dr Obulor on KZread is still the reason why I'm still here♥️ for helping me cure Herpes permanently with his treatment. More good work doctor 0:02…
