    I tried this they cooked through but didn’t brown or rise that much using a electric stove on low should I have set between medium and low

  • @KenClick
    @KenClick9 сағат бұрын

    Yes, in the video I say to begin on medium-low (at the 6:34 mark in the video). The baking powder reacts to heat. You'll have to experiment on your stove to find the right setting and timing.

    Ken the man. My son and I found this recipe, by you, and knew it was going to be a hit! We are on it today! Question. We have the Active yeast, the package said to be 2 1/4 teaspoon but while measuring it was just 1. So how does that work? I'm guessing it's the active vs instant differences and way to use it.

  • @KenClick

    We love cornbread so much. We have our traditional family recipe. You've just shown me what I've been looking for. Stove top cornbread. It gets too hot over here in the summer, and we can not use our oven. Thank you for the stove top cornbread recipe. What would happen if I used buttermilk instead of sweet milk? I sure couldn't flip my cornbread that way. I can't even flip a pancake or an egg. I'd have to turn my cornbread over with a spatula. Haha!

    In Australia we don't call those biscuits. We would call them scones. Our biscuits are hard, sweet, chocolate covered. Some of our biscuits are from the Arnotts Biscuit Company. We follow the British interpretation for a biscuit. But those biscuits you have made look so delicious.

    Thank you, sir, for this recipe. I will be using this recipe from now on. I do have a question, Would I be able to make the dough, cut it out, and then put them in a freezer bag? If so, would I have to thaw them out first or just put them right into the oven? Thanks in advance to anyone that will answer these questions

  • @KenClick
    @KenClick6 күн бұрын

    Really nice job on the quality of video. The subject matter of the video is quite simple, I would think it would be self evident and not require a video effort, but apparently many people need 'hand holding' for even the most basic things.

  • @KenClick

    I do not see how plunging a reciprocating saw blade into the ground is self-evident. The saw was not designed for that purpose. No need to criticize others for wanting to learn something.
