I love black eyed peas!! I grew up eating pinto beans & cornbread too. My husband doesn’t care for these things…I miss them. He grew up fancy😂😂😂😂 I hope you & your family have a blessed New Year🙏

I grew up eating the same as you and love them all!

I love Black Eye peas. I fry up hog jowl and then cook the peas. You have to have greens for money. I usually cook fried chicken with the meal. Just cook the meat on sauté in the instant pot and cook the peas in the pot. Clean up easy. Love them and always cooked the traditional meal with ham in Michigan. Our Dutch neighbors had casseroles. They didn’t know what they were missing.
