Did y’all notice that at first Drake said “Kendrick rap like he trying to get the slaves freed” but in his last beat switch he said “maybe he’s prince & Kendrick Mike cause he rap for the whites” he contradicts himself bad there! 🤦🏽‍♂️

My grandfather was in the 8th Battalion AIF (Australian army). He fought at the Somme where he was wounded by shrapnel and later fount in Belgium. Two weeks ago I visited Verdun and the Somme battlefields. Forts were constructed around Verdun in the 1870’e and these were the main fighting areas. The forts and hills were pounded by millions of shells and the battlefield has been forested. You can still see all of the remains of the forts as well as the churned up mounds in the Forrest. The trenches have also been preserved and there are many cemeteries. To see this really brings into perspective the horrors of war.

He wrote this as a 17 year old with no relationship experience. This was him story telling. Also interesting and sad that he had to publicly hide he was gay at the time. RIP George

Didn't know about The Ottoman Empire (Turkey) in WWI? Have you never seen "Lawrence of Arabia"? Or "The Lighthorsemen"? Or "Gallipoli"? Three good films.

“You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time”.” ― John Lydgate (c.1370 - c.1451) I was taught this when before I was even a teenager, how many children learn this today?

Admiral Winston Churchill secretly and purposefully arranged for the Lusitania which was carrying 128 American passengers to be steered into harms way and sunk by the Germans in order to force the US into the war because the Germans were kicking Britain's butt. Churchill was a corrupt war criminal

The singer is not Mike , and he is not a mechanic. It is Ian Carrick and his performance in this song is flawless. Perfect.

A Zeppelin is a dirigible manufactured by Ferdinand von Zeppelin's company. A dirigible is NOT a "blimp". A blimp is just a bag of gas with a gondola, a cabin, afixed underneath. A dirigible has a rigid frame, covered with varnished canvas, with a number of interior gas bags. Passengers were housed inside of the frame. The Control Bridge was a gondola underneath. The most famous Zeppelin was the "Hindenburg", that took passengers across the Atlantic like passenger liner. The Hindenburg (LZ 129), like all zeppelins, used hydrogen gas for lift. As you know hydrogen is very explosive. The US used helium, which is inert, but at the time was very expensive to produce, and the US had the market cornered. They still don't really know why, but the Hindenburg burst into flame at Lakehurst Naval Air Station in NJ in 1937, killing many. Lakehurst was the terminal for all airships at the time. It was one of the biggest disasters of the time. There is news footage and a radio broadcast of the event.

This was one of the first (maybe THE first) songs that the group released after *Chris Rupp* left & was replaced by *Chance* & they deliberately put Tim out of his normal role so that fans would realise that the change over actually added a heck of a lot of flexibility to the group. Not that there was anything wrong with HF (including Chris) before but they felt that they needed to reassure their fans.

One More Try is a great song esp. to show his awesome vocals! Father Figure was another hit of his and I Want Your Sex was a little risque song of his that even for the 80s on certain radio stations they had an edited version of the song to play I Want Your Love omitting the word Sex, lol I loved the song!

By far, the best version of this is done in the album, "Live at the Paramount". Rarely are live tunes better than the studio version but this is one of the exceptions. --------------------------------- New Mother Nature (Live at the Paramount Theater, Seattle WA - May 1972) --------------------------------------------------------

You should listen to The Red and Black 2015 live performance. About 6 minutes of guitar solos. Iron Maiden was insanely amazing.
